Well I started selling players over the weekend. down to 44 players in total now. 27 of them over 21, and 17 U21s.
Planning to cut/sell at least another 10-15 players, basically if they are over 23 they must be one of the 2 best players at their position and not blocking a youngster getting in the side. This should lead to savings on wages as I am spending too much right now. Also started my hunt for some young NZ defenders to train into the roles.
I have 34 guys, and 20 of them are under 21, only two guys over 26, might be a struggle for a while. I have one or two 3 star pot defenders if you want them for cheap.
Holy moly, you have a true Youth Revolution there. Definitely gettin rid of a large number of 30yr olds unless they are the only cover for a position.
I have an overload of talented right backs so unfortunately it's time to say goodbye to Bruce Oliver, he'll do a job for anyone who needs RB cover, average rating of 5.5 when he plays for me so excellent performer, doesn't get booked often - a perfect second-string RB.
This could be of interest to quite a few people here, young Kiwi three star striker, 3.5 star potential, he's my fourth-string forward so figured I'd just be better off selling him, hopefully there's somebody here who gets him - 8 mill not a bad price for a young 3 star Kiwi:

Yeah I contemplated waiting until next year when everyone has sponsor money but figured I might as well deal him now and hope that one of the YF guys was interested, the difference between 8mil and say 15mil is not overly significant for me and I'm unlikely to use him that much, so... good luck I guess to anyone who wants him.

And I have now just transferlisted all my remaining 30+ players, this includes one of my clubs top scorers in OMR Smith. A pair of solid defenders, and two strikers who are behind my younger guys.
I'm at the stage where I have 150 mil in the bank, but am only looking to upgrade at one position. This season's going to be a straightforward one, try finish in the top 6 again, develop the youngsters and get enough of a treasure chest to get promoted in S34 and actually have a chance of staying up. 250 mil should get me a star striker and keeper, so that's the plan I think.
My season is about sending on the final aging players. Bring through my 21-25yr olds and get them maximum game time, if I draw a star youngster then I will get him in there. Increasing Stadium size and attendance as much as I can in an attempt to earn top dollars by the end of the season.

You should get some good money from your three star old guys which will be able to help you out. Good that you get two more seasons from your keeper too.

That was the major hope, within two seasons I should be able to replace my keeper. Very useful, having that experience at the back helps as well.

Good player, I can never quite pull the trigger on spending 50+ mill on a 3.5 star guy, I end up just buying a high-potential guy for cheaper, that's why my team isn't title-competitive yet.
I think I spent a little more than I wanted but if he helps me get above third in the league again I'm happy.

I have my 33 year old 4.5 star MC allbery at 140mill if anyone is feeling rich. Don't expect him to go for much more than that due to his age.

If you look at his age and scout, he's a four star pot. Which if you could get him for 30 mill would be better than spending double the price on an older, 3.5 player
true, but you've got to have the facilities to get him to that, I have two 5* potential players on my books at the moment, both 2.5* currently one at RB and one at ML, both positions I need, they are 17 at the moment I'm hoping they bloom well and my facilities get them to where they can be of value to me. Both in playing and onselling
That's actually a good point theprof. Also wages while you're training them, to a lesser extent.
I agree, but in my case I'd rather have a 3 star player for say 2 seasons, a 3.5 star player for 3 seasons and a 4 star player for 5 seasons than a 3.5 star player for say 4 seasons.

Doubt any of you need them but figure no harm posting.
I spent 100k today on a couple of youngsters, not expecting huge things from them, but both look serviceable as cover defenders and for small outlay they are what I need right now.

Abele Del Piecuro (DL) - This guy I have to say name played a part as well :P Though he is fast, can cross, Mark & tackle.
Just grabbed this guy from my youth academy, he is three star potential, currently 2 stars so if someone wanted to bring him of the bench he wouldn't be awful, I'm probably going to wait until his bloom is over before selling him, but if anyone wants him for cheap then I'll just sell him now and avoid the wages.
Any takers? If not, I'll happily hold onto him then sell him for more dosh in a few months time.
