If we do lose him, we will need to find someone to score as many goals as he did last season. Stein has the potential to do that I suppose but I think we'd also need someone else.

It didn't sound like he had much loyalty to the club in that interview to be honest. He's on a 3 year contract with us and he sounds pretty keen to take a deal elsewhere if offered. Don't get me wrong, I love Brocks and I know he just wants to advance his career but c'mon, show the club a bit of respect.

In his mind he plays know for Toronto, they make him feel welcome, have "unreal" facilities and Nelson hopes that he pops some goals for TFC all good for his confidence and he starts dreaming, I'm fine with that.

Isn't on ESPN or TAB Watch & Bet, so dodgy streaming websites are the only option. 9am kick off.

Yeah its called being professional. Whats he supposed to say? The club and supporters arent exactly living easy at the moment, so it would make sense he sounds as supportive and optimistic as possible towards the cause.

It's pretty huge and apparently as good as most EPL training facilities

Probably was a foul in the lead up to the Crew goal but Toronto had enough chances. Wonder if we will see Brockie on early in the 2nd half.

the amount of chances they are creating they maybe should bring brockie on to see if he can put one away.

Brockie went on for last 20 minutes of so and played well,  possibly could have/should have scored with a header but a good run out.  Toronto unfortunately went down 1-0

First MLS game I've seen in a while.  I know neither of those teams are doing that well, but the standard seemed poor.  Toronto midfield and defence guilty of giving away the ball with bad touches & passes.  Thought Brockie did okay - got himself involved, had that one chance where he was stretching for the header.  Ref didn't do him any favours with a fantom handball when he was breaking down the left flank with 15 to go.

Earnshaw and Braun missed 3 sitters between them in the first half. They just couldn't finish.

Scored a goal for the reserves in a game played after the main one.

A minute later Brockie opened his Toronto account following his arrival from New Zealand earlier this week. The A-League player on loan to TFC received an ideal through-ball from John Bostock (who is on loan from Tottenham). Brockie struck from the edge of the box past an advancing Matt Lampson in the Columbus goal to put Toronto 2-0 ahead.

Aye? how does that work? the curtain raiser is played after the main game when [presumably] everyone has buggered off. Is that normal anyone?

Not sure Brocks would be better off in the MLS financially. Guardian today has all the MLS salaries. Torontos Earnshaw who is their star striker import is on only $155,000 US. Recon Stein or Ifill would be on more than that here.

Mind you Donovan is on 3.5 mill, Keane $ 4 mill.....loads of other players are getting jack shit money

depends. some reserve games are scheduled on their own date, some are played after the main match, to save on expenses and allow players on subs bench to get some game mins. (kinda complicated who is eligible for a reserve game) And each MLS team not having an affiliation with an USL team plays an USL team twice per season (and it counts towards USL league standings). most reserve games don't get much attendance, but teams like Portland draw a lot. I think RSL had 7000 for a reserve team match once.
as for the game itself, frustrating as hell. watching Toronto (and Columbus) is about pleasant as getting a BJ with sandpaper.
better game from yesterday was Seattle vs Dallas

Or Indian sport - saw an IPL game and it confused the hell out of me when they started talking about a "Yes Bank maximum". Turns out it's what we might call a "six"
