Cant help thinking that the pressure was off both keepers in todays game and it showed in different ways.

With England out of Europe, Robinson had the monkey off his back for a while to regain form. He played well.
On the other hand, the change in England management will probably give Green a better chance and with no games for a while, he is not in the position of having to perform week in week out to get a sniff.

Although these thoughts only apply in terms of international games, there is still the normal club pressure present, it must have given both keepers an opportunity to forget about international duty for  while.

Make sense, or rubbish??

Pretty bad blunder by Green to let in the first goal but he made up for it in style.

My most anticipated game of the season this weekend. Hope they stick the blue flag up their arse!!!

God it seemed so far away when he was injured and was going to be out until January. Now we're almost there, and still in the top ten and both cups.

This really has been a good test of depth and the Coles, Spectors, Mullins and Bowyers have stood up and been counted. Possibly add to that the redeveloping form of Boa Morte and Solano.

Havent felt this confident going into Christmas for a while, with all these players starting to return and the fringe players proving they are up to it. No recent mention of Bellamey though, other than that he is probably going to have another operation.

Traditionally, we have usually got our share of points from the big four, hopefully we can push on and clear out from a few of the next bracket of Everton, Blackburn, Villa, Newcastle and Portsmouth.

Sad about Harry. I would have liked to see him have a go at the top job.

yes time flies. I havent even seen Faubert  play. Apparently hes the business. Creative mid fielder, which I reckon we lack a bit (pre Salano) with the loss of Yossi.
But i agree its a good time to be a hammer!

With all the injuries slowly making  a come back with Parker, Deano etc we are in a good postion.
One name I havent heard for a while is Zamora. What happened to him? I remember hearing he had surgery some time back.

Yeah Bobby Z is injured. Could be tough getting back though with Coles form of late.

West Ham are paying $10 to beat Chelski. i find that so offensive that I'm puttinging a lazy tenner on it. I dare you to do the same.

WHAT PRICE SILVERWARE

League Cup home quarter final against Everton. Good chance of progressing. Three wins away from Silverware. Our best hope this year.

FA Cup Home draw against Citeh. Lesson learned. Beat them in our last successful run to the Final. Can progress.

Top 6 and Europe. Bellamey, Ashton and Green need to stay out of the physio room for us to do this. Faubert could be a bonus for the last couple of moinths when he is match fit. Good depth in mid field and back. 40% chance.

Top 4. Another season maybe.

League Champions. Priceless

Availability News
Nobby Solano is cup-tied (as is Henri Camara) so Lee Bowyer may well make a return to the team and the right wing. Carlton Cole is eligible to play despite picking up a fifth yellow card on Saturday, he is banned for the Boro game on the 22nd. That  must mean he can play in both Everton games. No mention of Etherington's ankle injury. Dont be surprised to see Wright between the sticks.  Ferdninand back in training
Bellamy and Zamora still not training, Faubert due back end Jan.
Paulo Di Canio has a 7 page article in QC for those that read it. Apparently he says he would like to manage West Ham.

i hope curbs puts green in goal. I have a feeling he takes the cup seriously and will be out to win.  I would of preferred nobby to play as i think hes doing very well is was the bargain of the transfer window.

theres alot of talk about a bust up between curbs and deano, all media bull sh it im sure, but the barcodes are loving it, linking deano with them!!!! it was only last week the media were reporting deano saying he has a debt to repay to WH for his injury lay up.

imagine PDC at west ham again. What a laugh that would be. he would be banned from the touch line at every game!!! LOL

harry was clearly upset with the villians last week after they were sing you'll.. get bummed in the showers!! refering to the bungs LOL.

This was the article on the West Ham Till I Die website that started the discussion about PDC. Obviously not a mate of Totti!!

Paolo Di Canio in GQDecember 10, 2007

Flicking through Decembers issue of GQ (as you do) what do I find but a seven page feature interview with my all time West Ham favourite Paolo Di Canio! Its a pity it isnt online anywhere, as its a fantastic read. Anyway, here are three choice quotes for your delight and delectation.

On the aftermath of the Paul Alcock incident

One second, Winterburn is barking at me like a dog. The next he is wetting his pants. All I did was look at him.

To A C Milan Manager, Fabio Capello

F*** yourself. Who are you to talk to me like this. He took a step back and fell over a kit bag.

On English football

England is the perfect place to play for a footballer. There is education and there is passion. I love English supporters and I love English people What I love about England is that it is 90 minutes of battlerun, fight. English football is my favourite football.

On doping

Doping in English football is restricted to lager and baked beans with sausages. After which the players take to the field belching and farting.

On Francesco Totti

Totti had said that he wouldn;t sit at the same table and have dinner with me. I said that was no great loss, because if you tell Totti that there are tensions in the Middle East, hell think that a fight has broken our on the right side of midfield.

I was particularly stuck by his answer to a question of whether he would like to manage Lazio. Immediately he replied

Or West Ham United.

Now that would be a roller coaster!

Carlton Cole has an injury so if he doesn't play its all up to Deano.

Can't understand why Noble has been left on the bench the last few weeks? Seems a waste to me.

Might even give Kyel Reid a run. He was on the bench on Wednesday. Or Boa Morte up there if Etherington fit.
Faubert only two weeks away from starting training. Hope we can hang in there until him and Bellamy get back.
Just seen the goal. What a mare!! They wont do that one again. Gabbidon has been in really good form recently, but has always got that look of casualness about him. Must be making it hard for Ferdinand to get back in, and Collins is coming back into the picture too.

West Ham face being down to just one fit striker for Saturday's Premier League clash with Everton after Carlton Cole aggravated a long-standing hip problem.

The Upton Park side's injury crisis deepened when Cole was forced off in the second half of last night's Carling Cup quarter-final defeat to the Toffees.

The Hammers are already down to the bare bones with Craig Bellamy and Bobby Zamora on the long-term injury list, manager Alan Curbishley had no forwards available to even include on the bench last night.

Dean Ashton is still chasing full-match fitness but started his first game since October in the 2-1 defeat and may have to lead the line on his own this weekend.

"We are into double figures again on the injury list and one or two of the players came off suffering last night. I will have to see what I have left for the weekend," said Curbishley.

"When you come into the quarter-final of the cup and you can't get a forward on the bench it is frustrating.

"The injuries showed up. They were sharper and more physical than us."

Cole was an early arrival at West Ham's Chadwell Heath training ground on Thursday morning to undergo treatment in the hope he will be passed fit to feature at the weekend.

"I have been playing with a bad hip for about four or five weeks now and last night it just seized up," he said.

"It restricted me a bit and I couldn't influence the game as much as I wanted to."

I have a feeling Curbs didnt want to spend in the Jan transfer window cos with all the injuries coming back it would be a like having new players anyway.  I have to agree with h4e... we are down to our bare bones!!  Apparently we have a young hungarian on trial(?)  If BG has some $$ for curbs he should spend it.

Yeah Parker looked great. He made a couple of poor passes but it was great to see him getting back to 100%. Was also good to Ljungberg start to play like we know he can.

I hate to use injuries as an excuse, but the balance of the team didn't seem right today and you can only say that was because of who we had out injured.

P.S. It could be just me but Deano hasn't seemed himself the last couple of weeks. I fear a move could be on the cards in January.

Thinking the same about Ashton myself. No celebration after the goal on Wednesday and glum look all day with niggly fouls.
Be pi**ed off if he is looking for a move after we have missed out on him all this time, and paid for operations and rehab.

Parker. Great game. First time I have seen him dominate in his role.

Never thought I would be sorry to see Coles go off, but he is really performing.
The commentators may have answered the Noble Bench Warming situation today, still getting over injury.
Missed Gabbidon.

The Solano sub was the one that got me. The other fella can go back to Wigan hwenever he likes.

I also thought that Parker looked good, getting better each game.

Ljunberg cam bugger off, thought excellent buy at the start but don't think he really has contributed this season.

Ashton needs to get fit and hungry like beginning of the season.

Defensively think we are strong except Neill, should be left out for the next couple of games for a rest. Doesn't look good to me but that could be due to a lack of a proper break this season.

No pace up front is whats causing us big problems, unable to hit teams on the break. When Dyer, Faubert, Bellermy, Boa Morte, and Ethrington are fully fit we should at least have some pace.

Cole and Camara are not PL material. We need to buy or loan someone in New Year.

As much as I don't like him, think Bowyer is needed to play for a bit more muscle in the mid, plus he is popping up scoring goals.

Game against Everton - As Curbs says we lacked some quality. No one in team to finish against better playing teams. I was hoping for a draw from this game but don't think that many clear chances were made and when they were was taken poorly. Though saying that Everton looked good, nice passing and full of confidence.

Bad result and also T*ttenham winning made it a bad day. Shame really as other results went our way. Big weekend next week against Smoggies. A must win.

Sir Trev,

This looks good. Have you been using this for a while.

Bit concerned about this line in their intro.

Go to the Software page ; to get a fast enough speed it's necessary to download the EvidPatch ; some Virusscanners say it's a virus, but it's needed to run the P2P programs fast enough.

Do you have EvidPatch and have you downloaded the other three items below?

What you also need to have installed
Windows MediaPlayer 9 or 10 or 11 [Note: 11 isn't suitable for ALL P2P yet]
