Hi, as discussed here:

http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/categories/wellington-phoenix-discussion/topics/mh17-football-united-rip-john-alder-and-liam-sweeney?page=2#post_985100

I have set up a givealittle.co.nz page where Yellow Fever fans can make a donation which the Yellow Fever will then forward on on our behalf to the offical memorial fund/charities nominated by the families of John Alder and Liam Sweeney.

You can make a donation here:

https://www.givealittle.co.nz/member/bwtcf/project/YellowFeverToonMemorial/donate

At the time of this post $190.00 had been raised.

It's seems Liam's dad was a referee in the UK so I've chucked my $20 in.

Just a thought Smithy or others close to the action...

Any chance of organising a signed Nix Shirt for the Alder and Sweeny families ?

Good work all round.

I'd be happy to chip in to bwtcf's fund or to SJ if he needs to raise shekels for the shirts. Please post ifyou need help sj.

Thought about the NZmags, but it's nice that YF/nix are doing something.

Howay the fever!

Great that YF/Nix Fans and Sydney Fans are doing their bit, lets face we can all contribute at least a couple of bucks or the price of a couple of beers to both funds

Quick question - what are we planning on doing with the funds raised? Are we going to use it to do something in memorial on Saturday at the game?

I thought we would donate it to the charities nominated by their families

We've collected $380.

As posted by Warwick hunt in another thread:

So, I did a google search for Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle and for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. The later had an article about the John and Liam appeal... and following ti took me to this page:

http://www.gofundme.com/brx6wk

Do you think I should just donate the $380 to that fund, or should I donate $190 to each of the Marie Currie Hospice and the Booby Robson Foundation directly?

Nice.

I tried to signup to log on to their forum to post but it doesn't accept signups from a gmail account, and that's the only one I have. Bugger.

There's some nice comments in that thread. Go and have a read. Someone mentioned the shirts off with ten minutes to go tradition... Sunderland fans wanting links to pics. Maybe post some of the best of here so if they check this thread out they don't need to go digging elsewhere?
