Phoenix kit - The return of the stripe

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone had any news about the new home shirt is like/when it's out. I'm going to be in Wellington for a few months and keen to get my football fix while away from the UK by getting a Phoenix shirt and going to the first home game (possibly more). A woman I spoke to in RYOS said it'd be out around about mid-August but wasn't sure if there'd be any official confirmation (or if any forum readers knew) about its release date, price, design etc. I couldn't find anything on the club site.

Heard Sept-ish. Similar design.

Was told August when I phoned Ryos last week,and apparantly there is going to be a long sleeved one on sale this season as well.

Excellent. Would love a long sleeved one.

With built in thermal layer

And a beverage holder (required so that hands can hold an inexpensive hot pie or wiener).

If it's going to be similar to last season, I think it will be this template:

But imo, I would like this in Phoenix glory..

Pity if it's really similar - need to change things up a bit when you run with stripes.  I'm a fan of changing templates a bit, so going with thin stripes, then quarters, pin stripes etc but I know some people hate that

There is the AC Milan kit which would change it up a bit, but I don't think that is a template for free use by adidas probably specially made for them with copyright blah blah blah etc.

Because the current home kit is too garish and the away kit is mingeing?

Surely there's not that much profit to be made from a kit that will never be worn? I can't imagine Phoenix away shirts have ever been bestsellers.

Warriors don't do it for any other reason. Highest merchandise sales in the NRL. Not saying it's right; just saying.
