So the Ronald McDonald house is quiet at the moment with only a few families staying there (which is a good thing) so the Butler-Peck family jumped at the chance to attend a Nix game again.

What a game to attend. The family going through the emotions of the illness and then the lows of that first half followed by the highs of the second half. What a roller coaster of a ride for them. I wish them well and am happy they got to see the turn around, the fan atmosphere which imho was one of the best for a lot of years. Very passionate, noisey and smokey!!

Decided to be nice and have dropped off two families passes to this family, seeing as the kids are such big Nix fans, so they can attend the next two games on the 23rd and 26th January.

Thanks again for all your time spent bringing a little bit of joy to these families.  It's great seeing their smiles in the photos and I appreciate all the work you put in on (somewhat) all of our behalf.

Hey all,

You may have seen on a few of the Fever social media platforms a link to my Redbubble with t-shirts up for sale (like the Kurto #1 tee) and just thought I would share the sales figures so you know the money is going where it should be.

First column is payment made by Redbubble to me, second column is payment made by me to Fever Dreams.

As you can see it mostly lines up except October where I paid in extra cos I thought I'd forgotten to put through the June sale in June –bonus for Fever Dreams!

This is my way of supporting Fever Dreams – it's a great initiative that needs to keep happening – and a massive thanks to everyone who has bought some merch, or is planning too.

Very proud of you Matt. "Toby" and I enjoyed the game and the experience, so I am quite sure the recipients would have too. It was a good day, despite the area change from aisle 8 in the shade to the full blown sun in the face experience we had in aisle 19 instead! Another FFA conspiracey?? The Cove were in about aisle 16 &17 and they were brilliant and very very friendly. Real and genuine football lovers. Immense stuff.

Sorry for not posting. Yes it's still happening and families have been attending every home game so far. Been hard to get follow up from RMH since my contact left but I just met with the new one this week so will hopefully have them again going for

I saw promotion on the wall when we were there late January. Nearly took grandson but it was a late game and didn't quite work out.

Well done.

Yeah the week before the game they put a call out for a family to attend. If you don't mind me asking, were you visiting or had family in there? Do you and you grandson had a chance to attend a game yet?

Hi Yakcall...thanx for your post above.  I dont mind you asking.

The link below probably best explains why I/we/them were there.  U will see my fundraising endeavour is going very well....certainly far better than the kms I have cycled so far but its only 2 March.:>). That part has been an amazing ride.

Im going out again 2moro.. (plan is to ride in and visit sons partner).  I hope to surpass the commitment of 210km in March by about week 3 but its early days.

If things pan out as we all hope in next two weeks or so they wont need to return.

Congratulations on the new grandchild Trevor. Hope baby gets well enough soon so family can all be together back home but it does show how wonderful it is to have places like the houses for families that need them.

I was just thinking about you the other day and was going to reach out to see how you are doing. Well done on doing so many K's. I just dropped off the stuff to the house for the game on Saturday so if you have family at the house in Wellington and they are free Saturday night, then they should chase up about getting the tickets etc.

Thanx for the thoughts..baby and Mum are now back in Nelson Hospital/Motueka.  We visit in mid April.

Hopefully other families will take advantage of the free tickets..awesome initiative.  I also noted on RMH FB that some Nix players turned up and cooked a week or so ago on one of the sponsor nites which would have been a buzz for families there.

Thinking about it..haven't got there this season but this will be a good one and timing is good.  Was maybe thinking of cycling in from Paraparaumu Beach and shower at work before match..  or part way in least ahead of game as it was a hard 3 hours from Pram to Hospital early on in March.

Good way to add on kms and link it all in.

On Saturday the Davey family staying RMH in Wellington got to attend the Nix game as part of Fever Dreams. Not a bad game to attend either with another win and the 3rd hat trick in Nix history.
