Anyone got an email for someone in charge at Eastern Subs - YF will sponsor that sort of awesomeness.

Spoke to club chairman. Still an idea at this stage, but I've offered for us to sponsor it if it's cool.

White shirts, white socks, chocolate brown shorts.

From the programme - Paul Rennell, 1968/69 skipper -

"... the 1969 final against New Brighton was the toughest (of the '65, 68 & 69 final wins) as we were carrying so many injuries - John Staines (hamstring), Phil Rainer and John Kroon (knees), Billy de Graaf, John Wrathall, Ray Mears (ankles). Thankfully they all made the team with the exception of player coach Tom McNab, who damaged his knee the Saturday before and never played again."

WHARF 7 BROOKLYN 1. Goals to Harper 2, Poly 2, Ramsay, Stewart, Hunter. Karori while resting several regulars were 2-up after 10 minutes and didn't look back despite gifting BNU a Minties goal. MOM: Same one as usual, Robbie Hunter.

Wharf ripped BNU a new one. Could have been 10 if the midget hadn't saved a few. Dale you owe me a pint

Suprised BNU are top of the league Cap 1. Thought they'd be up for this fixture, chance of an up set. Clearly not as Wharf were 100 times better, as Feverish said could have been 10!

Wests 1-0 Petone. Boring game really, Wests holding most of the possession and Petone just couldn't really do much even when Wests went a man down with 15mins to go.

BNU also lost 7-2 to IBU in the first round last year, and were around the top of the table then as well. BNUs momentum in the league shifted heavily after that loss though ..

Ehhhh - as the midget in goal I've gotta say we had enforced resting due to injuries. So both teams were in the same boat.

But no excuses - wharf were clinical. Was similar to the league game last week against IBU - except Wharf could finish. Fitness and pace were really the big difference I thought. Porteous has Karori drilled really well - play a really good attacking style of football.
For us probly a good time for a humbling, bye coming up. So can rest up those niggles - was that humble enough?

Being a goal keeping dwarf must run in the family then.
Still look on the bright side several other GKs had more bending the back than you today.
Two cup games finished 14-1 others at 12-0 and 11-0

Ha yeah didn't back either of us aye feverish. After seeing Brooklyn last week I knew there was no way they'd beat Karori. But in 2ndbests defense he can't be across every team's form and quality. Fair play for at least chucking some predictions out there.

balls on the line. NUFC would be proud.

Think I got a few more wrong than that. Missed. Stokes Valley/Naenae, Western Suburbs/Petone FC, Karori/BNU, University/Red Sox, Wellington United/IBU

Bit surprised by Vegas/Naenae.

I remember a few years ago Porirua came close to beating Tawa, Porirua being about a Div 10 club at the time. Think it was 1-1 and went to extra time (ended 3-1 or something). All of Porirua's top masters turned out for the game, some of them quality players from good leagues only a couple of seasons prior. Could've been a similar situation here

Google translate not much help. Nothing for "falanaipupu" ; nothing for "falanai";  but it does give me "pupu" as "poopoo".
