Stuff is reporting only permanent residents and citizens allowed in. Work visas wouldn’t cut it if that was the case.

There was a mention of special cases also allowed.

I went to the supermarket today at about 11am for some milk and rubbish bags, got a hell of a fright, the place was absolutely packed and a lot of shelves were empty. Utter madness.

Special cases are health professionals and refugees not football players.

Only health professionals and those who are essential for Samoa and Tonga can apply for humanitarian reasons to transit through NZ.

No new cases in Wuhan for first time, after going into lockdown in mid January

....so, 9 weeks, in a totalitarian state. 

It's pretty simple then, we're gunna have to win the league, surely that would get us over the line.

Is the club going to do an update or press release tomorrow regarding this? Surely the situation is too precarious now to keep going?

Well they can’t come back now unless they jump on a plane before midnight so what do want them to do other than carry on?

When I saw the restrictions on non kiwis or non residents my first thought was about people at my work and if we currently have anyone on a work visa who is travelling or outside of the country.
My second thought was - what about our imports and aussies???

Half of them cant come back even if they wanted to, and they certainly wont be playing any football if they did.

Amazing that this wasn't foreseen.  They will need to isolate themselves as best as they can for a month, much like the rest of us. The chances of them playing any competitive football are slim/

Government release says: Australian citizens and permanent residents who normally live in New Zealand can still come to New Zealand.

And the article says the Phoenix are investigating what it means to the foreigners. You'd imagine our brits would prefer to stay in NZ than return to the UK at the moment.

And if Arden has any brains she would also impose travel from the Pacific. Fiji has its first case. 

She has, all borders are shut for non NZ residents and citizens including from the Pacific now that they've had their first case.

David Clarke mentioned that this was on the agenda at his presser this afternoon. 

As much as I love football, I just want them to all be safe, looked after and not stuck in a shark-show back and forth between both their home country and their temporary home country, not too much too ask even in trying curcumstances.

watching other counties start the way we have started people may start dying in the next week or two, not sure if all reports are true and if the young boy that returned from nz to south africa and the person who may be infected in samoa who arrived from nz are true then we could assume community transmission may of started unless they came to NZ from somewhere else before going to those countries.

even the supermarkets in wanganui are getting stripped pretty quick and at this stage we have no confirmed cases and last i heard around ten people have been tested and were all negative.did an online shop at countdown last night and earliest delivery time was  tuesday afternoon.

With no sport on TV I noticed a woman sitting on the couch. Apparently, she's my wife, She seems nice enough.

Hundreds of people are being tested. NZ has now the capacity to test 1500 people per day which is apparently the same as South Korea.

I wonder how many users on here are in what we could consider high risk areas of the community.

Yep, 750-1,000 per day. Could do 1,500 per day if absolutely necessary, but that would require people to work double shifts.

Actually concerning as both her and I are  high risk due to cancer. No its not an option for her stop working sadly.

Warriors have announced they’re staying in Oz after this weekend’s game. 

Footballs’ turn to do the no crowds thing tonight, but to be honest I’ll hardly notice lack of crowd until Sydney derby tomorrow.
