Yes hope so.

Should send Davilla back to Mexico to be with his family and new born though.

Stuff is reporting only permanent residents and citizens allowed in. Work visas wouldn’t cut it if that was the case.

I went to the supermarket today at about 11am for some milk and rubbish bags, got a hell of a fright, the place was absolutely packed and a lot of shelves were empty. Utter madness.

Only health professionals and those who are essential for Samoa and Tonga can apply for humanitarian reasons to transit through NZ.

It's pretty simple then, we're gunna have to win the league, surely that would get us over the line.

Is the club going to do an update or press release tomorrow regarding this? Surely the situation is too precarious now to keep going?

Well they can’t come back now unless they jump on a plane before midnight so what do want them to do other than carry on?

When I saw the restrictions on non kiwis or non residents my first thought was about people at my work and if we currently have anyone on a work visa who is travelling or outside of the country.
My second thought was - what about our imports and aussies???

Half of them cant come back even if they wanted to, and they certainly wont be playing any football if they did.

Amazing that this wasn't foreseen.  They will need to isolate themselves as best as they can for a month, much like the rest of us. The chances of them playing any competitive football are slim/

And if Arden has any brains she would also impose travel from the Pacific. Fiji has its first case.

She has, all borders are shut for non NZ residents and citizens including from the Pacific now that they've had their first case.

my take is Taylor Ball Hooper Davila Steinman can't now enter NZ. My main worry is Davila cant even get back to Mexico. Doubt Oz will have a direct flight there and cant transition thru US. Then coaching staff. Do Greenie and Gothard have residency status? Oz citizens seem to have a choice as they can stay in Oz or come to NZ due to them being allowed to be classed as resident when they come here.

As much as I love football, I just want them to all be safe, looked after and not stuck in a shark-show back and forth between both their home country and their temporary home country, not too much too ask even in trying curcumstances.

FOX Sports be proud. Don't forget people, this also affects the foreign players at the other A League clubs too. And as asked earlier, are those clubs locked down in isolation too? One would hope so.

Just watching TV 1 & 3 News, it's reminding me of two films. "Straw Dogs" with Sam Neil & "The Stand". Oh well. The shelves in Pak N Save & Countdown last night were impressively empty of the main items. Tell you what, People may end up dying (I hope not) but boy, they're checking out with the cleanest arses.

watching other counties start the way we have started people may start dying in the next week or two, not sure if all reports are true and if the young boy that returned from nz to south africa and the person who may be infected in samoa who arrived from nz are true then we could assume community transmission may of started unless they came to NZ from somewhere else before going to those countries.

even the supermarkets in wanganui are getting stripped pretty quick and at this stage we have no confirmed cases and last i heard around ten people have been tested and were all negative.did an online shop at countdown last night and earliest delivery time was  tuesday afternoon.

Hundreds of people are being tested. NZ has now the capacity to test 1500 people per day which is apparently the same as South Korea.

SK have tested almost 300k people - that's a lot more than 1500 a day (unless you are talking per capita). That figure is max capacity with staff having to work overtime, its more like around 1k a day.

Yep, 750-1,000 per day. Could do 1,500 per day if absolutely necessary, but that would require people to work double shifts.

My daughter who lives with us does. To be honest the response from her employers is shocking. Like you LG she works for the government. Some of the S H I T coming out from them is laughable for the double standards.

Actually concerning as both her and I are  high risk due to cancer. No its not an option for her stop working sadly.
