Either that or hope for ACL surgery for all current starting RB's :)

Updates during games?

I am able to provide updates during the games, probably Half time, Full time and Big plays relating to Fantasy Players we have.

Anyone keen for this, and if you are, do you want them in here, on the league page, or via email? (If via email I may need you to send the details to me again), I will only do one, so let me know...

Have posted below what these updates will look like if you want them.

This is one of the few websites I can get onto from work, so I'd prefer here rather than on the League page if possible.  Looking at the above it seems I want a final result of 6-3 to give me a chance this week.

As a general figure when I am working out what I expect my team to score I go through and want 10pts per position, and 20pts for a QB. Anything above that is a bonus. So for 1 QB + 3 others I'd be wanting 50pts, your 58 is a slightly above average start.

Yellow Fever Scores & Best Players

Also injured players update

Waffles @ Whale 103-98.5

L.Bell 27 & R.White 15.5 vs D.Murray 18.5 & J.Maclin 17

To Go: HUYS - M.Floyd (Tues 2:20pm)

Waffles should win this barring a fumble ridden game from Floyd.

Fairies @ Hammers 80.5-40

G.Olsen 18 & 49ers D 17 vs D.Carpenter 13 & Panthers D 12

To Go: FF - P.Manning (M 12:30), D.Thomas (M 12:30), LH - P.Rivers (T 2:20), Fitzgerald (T 2:20), C.Johnson (T 11:10)

Yeah Hammers had a mare, Crabtree, Martin, Stacy, VJax & Witten all letting the side down, Fairies should win with ease.

Tegal @ Usos 112-81

M.Forte 20 & A.Brown 19.5 vs C.Patterson 19.5 & Z.Ertz 14.5

To Go: Tegal - M.Ball (M 12:30), J.Thomas (M 12:30), Usos - A.Luck (M 12:30), E.Sanders (M 12:30)

Tegal should be able to hold on here, a 30pt lead with the players left here should be enough.

Rodriguez @ Griever 76.5-58.5

B.Marshall 15 & L.McCoy 14 vs R.Cobb 14 & G.Bernard 13

To Go: HAMZ - V.Cruz (T 11:10), R.Wayne (M 12:30), Broncos D (M 12:30), YG - Stafford (T 11:10), R.Jennings (T 11:10), TY.Hilton (M 12:30)

I think Roridguez should hold on here, but it could be close in the end with just the sheer number of players remaining in the match-up. Stafford against a bad Giants Def could be the difference maker.

Billikids @ Troopers 87.5-90

AJ.Green 22 & B.Cooks 17.5 vs M.Lynch 24.5 & V.Davis 18

To Go: RAMM - K.Allen (T 2:20), R.Randle (T 11:10), MET - R.Bush (T 11:10), T.Richardson (M 12:30), Novak (T 2:20)

I think the Troopers should stretch this out tomorrow, but you never knoa as all it takes is Trent Richardson to fail today and it is game one tomorrow with both teams sooo closely matched.

yup could be a struggle, but not as much as I have in my other league...

Down by 10pts - I have D.Thomas & R.Mathews, he has P.Manning & K.Allen...I need a miracle, probably by Mathews, as a Thomas miracle comes from Peyton...meaning I need 100+ yds with Peyton not throwing to others.

I am getting fucking battered.  I was watching the games live, and about half way through the early kick offs I was feeling pretty confident - projection had me winning about 130-95.  By the end of the late kick-offs it was project that the Fairies would score a couple of hundred, and I would get 16 points, an old button, and a bird shitting on my head next time I went outside.

Doug Martin - 9 yards

Zac Stacey - 43 yards

Jason Witten - 2 receptions for 14 yards

Pile of gash.  When you kicker is comfortably your best player, it is time to start worrying.  Only bright spot for me is that my team is built around Megatron and he and my QB haven't played yet.

I should probably read the rule book on this, but I’m sure you gents will be able to answer.  I'm used to the Yahoo Baseball where basically anyone who is not currently on a team is always a free agent and you are able to pick up at anytime.  The only time anyone appears on waivers is if a team dumps them – they then go on waivers for say 2 days.

Two things I guess:

1) I understand the need to effectively block trading part way through a weekend (otherwise in a re-draft league we’d all be rushing to pick up players who play today).  When does this ‘reset’ so we can make amendments to our squads (i.e. I can drop players).

2) Similarly, I see that every player who played this week (who isn’t already on one of our teams) is on Waivers.  Does this ‘reset’ and they all become free agents again at the same time as the above?  Or is there an extended period where they are all still on waivers after we can start dropping players.

Obviously the waiver rankings are much more important here then it is in Yahoo.

I made free agent pickups last week. Must be while games are being played they all go on waivers for some reason? Imagine it'll go back after last game today.

Having a quick look, guys who have played their game so far are on waivers, while guys who have a game today, are free agents. Weird, there must be some logical reason for it.

Edit: googled and found the NFL fantasy rules (imagine they're the same) players lock at their game time, and get placed on waivers. They'll stay there for a day (the waiver period). Further Edit: I lie, someone who played on Friday is still on waivers 3 days later - it must be (a day?) after the last game of the round?

The waiver order resets each week to the inverse of the standings.

Tuesday Morning Update (Also League Tables as they stand)

With only Michael Floyd left to play it looks like this game is over and done with, barring a 3 fumble, no yards game. So Waffles will win Week 1 in this match. A huge performance from Le'Veon Bell led the way, guess he had something to prove this week. Issues for Waffles have to be Charles being poor & Reed now being injured, some stuff to do going forward. A week 1 win all important. Whale can be happy with their team looked good this weekend, and barring the poor showing from Rams D & Tate they looks solid. Bring in Jennings & Cards D and they'd have 120pts which would be an awesome week.

Another game that is pretty much over, the Hammers could make a comeback, but needing nearly 70pts from Rivers, Fitzgerald & Megatron would be considered a true Monday Night Miracle. Olsen & 49ers D are the big plays for the Fairies, their WRs and MJD were terrible and need to pick it up going forwards, will be happy with the win though. Other than the Panthers D & his Kicker no-one showed up for the Hammers, when a Kicker is your top scorer you have a serious issue. Martin, Crabtree, VJax & Stacy all just looked bad, need an improvement somewhere here to compete this season.

Game is actually finished here and we have a very clear winner, 31pts from Julius Thomas is huge, but only the Bengals D didn't get double figures for Tegal and that is going to generally blow the opposition away. Forte & A.Brown were especially impressive. The Usos have to be gutted with the draw here as they look likely to be one of the top scoring teams of the week, but get thrashed in week 1, that's tough. Lacy & Gore let the side down, but Luck & Patterson look pretty good here. A lot of positives for the Usos, just not much this week.

This game could actually turn round today, maybe. It does seem unlikely though as a 29pt lead with Cruz still to go should end this, but Stafford and Jennings combining for 30pts more than Cruz would also not be a huge surprise here, going to be a fun watch for anyone interested in this game. Marshal, Wayne, Spiller & McCoy all did their jobs here for Rodriguez, while Cobb & Bernard attempted to drag Griever closer to the fight, in the end though disappointing efforts from Buccs D, Camreorn and Bryant look to be the let downs.

After a onesided start caused by a large number fo Thursday Players in the Troopers game has led to the tightest match-up of the week. Currently the Troopers lead by 9pts and they are projected to win by 9 weeks. This makes it highly likely that either team could win it as a small slip from the Troopers and Billikids will steal a Wk 1 victory. Allen & Randle vs Bush & Novak, Is it a passing league, or are RBs & Kickers still important? (Yes we ask the important questions, Fair & Balanced #YFSportsNetwork), cooks & Green looked excellent for the Billikids, while Lynch & Davis pulled it out for the Troopers. Both teams have big scores on bench as well, but the Troopers with the Two Jet's Chris' sitting there (Johnson & Ivory), Sproles and Steve Smith have given him some questions for next week.

Waiver Rules

1) Players go onto Waivers at the time of Kick-off of their game (Basically locking them in), or when a player is dropped.

2) Waiver period is 2 days for a dropped player (Unless this takes them past their game kick-off)

3) Each week waivers will open on Wed night (Wed Morn US time) and you can submit waiver claims before this time

4) When Waivers open the 1st team on waiver order (10th place overall) gets their first claim completed, then the 2nd player and so on, if a player is gone when it gets to your turn it chooses the next claim you have put in. This continues until all claims have been completed, and then all players become Free Agents (Except those who were dropped during waiver process, they fall to Waivers again)

5) Waiver order resets to reverse of standings on a Tuesday night (NZ time)

6) When you complete a waiver pick-up you drop to the bottom of the order.

Trades

This is weird, so you can make trades at a time when games have been played, BUT all players must be in the same situation ie. Already Played (Trade will complete when Waivers clear) or Not yet played (Trade will complete immediately)

If some players are locked, and others are still to play it doesn't work (Don't ask me why), what should happen is the trade completes when Waivers clear, but for some reason it just says the trade cannot be completed.

In the other tightish match, the Troopers have run away with it.  Although Reggie Bush was hardly spectacular for them, Reuben Randle for my Billikids managed to only get the two receptions for 1 yard.....

Need something spectacular from Keenan Allan to do "a N-Bomb" and pull it out of the fire.

It could be close now, couple of big plays and your WR could haul me in with just my K playing in this one...FGs please!!!

Great first up weekend, snagged a win. If you get a chance to be in front of ESPN on a Monday, be sure to watch NFL Redzone - they sure know how to do sports! Sundays are also sorted with ESPN and now ESPN2 - I think there were 7 live games of College Football!!
