OHHHH, forgot to look at the draw today (sick).

Cool - bring it on. Can beat them at Dens. Especially as they've got a busy schedule around that time.

The hun are absolute GARBAGE at the moment, no reason why Dundee can't beat them with a little bit of luck.

No SPL games this weekend, so the game of the day in Scotland is:

Dundee (Pre-season favourites for promotion) v Partick Thistle (Sitting proudly on top of the league!)

C'mon the Jags, let's show Harkins what a big mistake it was to leave.

UP THE DEES!!

No mistake for Harkins by leaving. He is quality and will rightly play in competition he deserves to be in next season (SPL). Apparently you plastic whistle boys did alright and had most of the possession. Still - quality shines through in the end huh (Griffiths, Harkins). 'Jags' manager an absolute idiot for moaning about Harkins celebrations.

Don't worry though Mr Jag. We'll smash Rangers in a couple of weeks so you'll know you ain't a bad team, you just played a team to good for Div 1.

From what I hear we were very unlucky not to get something from the game, but that's the way it goes sometimes. To quote my mate, who was at the game: "We pumped them, just a pity about the rule of counting the goals"

Harkins? Again, from what I hear, his celebration was a bit unnecessary and things got a bit ugly afterwards. Seems to be a bit more anger about him giving the Thistle fans two fingers after the final whistle.

Congrats to Dundee on the win but as for Harkins playing in the SPL next year? Hmm. I wouldn't be counting your chickens just yet...

Yea, apparently Partick are looking quite good so far. Had the possession in that game, and the Dundee defence / keeper pulled it out, then pulled out some class up front to put the game away. In fact, Dundee fans are saying that Partick do try and play nice Football.

Dunno if Harkins pulled the fingers to the fans, but I heard the Thistle fans were annoyed that he ran towards them after scoring (before running to the Dundee fans). Harkins said that he wasn't planning to celebrate at all if he scored, but was annoyed that he was getting a lot of rubbish from Thistle fans (singing "what a waste of money"). Meh. You often get a lot of stupidity when players move teams.

Yeah, he apparently gave the Thistle fans the fingers at the end. Happy days!

We seem to be going reasonably well, might be an interesting league, your mob are justified favourites given the dosh you've spent assembling a strong squad, but if we can stay injury free I think we'll make a decent fight of it.

The injury thing may be a key in the league. Dundee has failed in previous years because of injuries. It's a brutal league that's tough to get out of. The difference this season for Dundee is  just as much that we have a couple of players of quality, as that we have a squad that is about as good as the first eleven. Apart from Harkins, I'm not worried about most other players getting injured as there's players there about as good who can come in.

From what I've heard though, I hope Plastic Whistle do well (as long as they don't beat us obviously!). They try and play Football, unlike other teams who just try and play a thrash and bash game. I hear it comes from the manager McCall... We are trying to do the same. Ball on the ground, quality stuff.

The difference between a Divison 1 team and a SPL team doesn't seem to be that much these days from what I've seen / heard. Pretty much because the money has gone out of the SPL. Well, we showed Aberdeen a thing or two - and they're doing quite well this season. Queen of the South gave Rangers a close match. AND OF COURSE.... Dundee are gonna beat Rangers in a couple of weeks. I'm nearly as excited about that as the All Whites! Hahaha.

Airdrie Utd 1-2 Raith Rovers. Bet there weren't many neds at this match...lovely parts of Scotland both.

I work with a mad Rovers fan (no, not Gordon Brown) he is pretty happy with their start since gaining promotion.

Eh? I trust you're being (very) sarcastic there, Boss. Airdrie and Kirkcaldy. Horrible depressing sh*thouse places, both of 'em.

...and as for 'Airdire' supporters. Don't get me started on that mob.The white hoods and nazi salutes at one of their games said it all for me.

Mowbray is an excellent manager
the problem is he has low level players in a low level league and you soon get found out when you play external to your shores.
this is a direct result of having a domestic competition where only two sides have seemingly any chance of winning the major prize.

WBA's attempt to play football under Mowbray as opposed to putting 10 behind the ball and kicking s**t out of anything moving is something we should all appreciate.

Given time and some players capable of passing and controlling the ball on the ground they will do well. Domestically.

also I believe Celtic paid compensation to WBA over the Mowbray appointment. IIRC etc. This indicates WBA (despite relegation( wanted him onboard.

I like him, he remionds me of Roy Hodgson, gives an honest post match interview.

A 24-year-old football fan dressed as a sheep suffered serious burns to his arms and legs when he was set alight on a train in Fife.

Aberdeen fans said the man ran through the carriage on fire as others threw beer on him to douse the flames. The Edinburgh to Aberdeen service was stopped at Kirkcaldy at about 1900 GMT to allow the man to be treated.

British Transport Police said one man was arrested and another was assisting the police with their inquiries. A second man is reported to have suffered slight injuries.

The train was carrying Aberdeen football supporters back home after their side's match against Hibs in Edinburgh. It is understood a number of the fans at the match and on the train were dressed as sheep. The train involved, an Arriva cross-country train was the 1808 GMT, service from Edinburgh to Aberdeen.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "British Transport Police can confirm that a male has been arrested and another is assisting with enquiries following a serious incident on board a train in the Kirkcaldy area of Fife at around 1900 hours yesterday." The spokesman added: "British Transport Police are treating the incident very seriously and investigations are currently ongoing."
