Scottish Football teams - There's 2 followed by a couple of wannabes and lots of never will be's.

Yet, they play their footies at 200 MPH nd its exciting, Sky should be showing the games, you'll see what I mean, even if outside the main 2 crowds are not very big.

I used to follow Meadowbank Thistle out of sympathy but now I keep an eye out for Brechin City for the same reasons.

Anyone ever see that film "Local Hero"? Absolute classic film with Scottish humour at it's very best! lots of hidden and "in" jokes.

What makes you say that? I've been to Tynecastle and Easter Road and, sure, they haven't got the capacity of Ibrox or Parkhead, but both were sellouts (25,000-30,000).

f**k you all you f**king ignorant f**king patronising f**ks.

It's our league, it's what we follow - if you don't like it - f**k off.

Right enough, the EPL is now a kaleidescope of teams winning all types of silverware.

Why is following Wigan any more or less valid than following Dundee Utd?

Good call.

You can add Blackburn to that list too. I've seen games at Ewdood Park where it seems like theres more opposition fans. Wait til they get relegated again. Plastic fans if there ever were any.

Tell us what you're really thinking!

Ok, let's be realistic then.

Celtic
Rangers
Hearts
Hibs
Aberdeen
Dundee
Dundee United

Going back over the last 33 years Aberdeen have won the title 1979-80, 1983-84, 1984-85, Dundee United 1982-83, Celtic and Rangers heaps. The last time the non big 2 won was Aberdeen in 1984-85. Who can you see in the forseeable future challenging them? Aberdeen had the nod when Fergutlesson was in charge but he's moved on to some unknown team in Manchester.

My original comment wasn't patronising, but it was done to get a healthy debate going. I actually do like watching Scottish football. Played at 200 MPH yet exciting. But I had hoped since 1975 when I started my interest in British football in general that there'd be more than two teams regularly challenging for the 3 titles up for grabs.

Spot on Ginger. Funny how some people put up quite happily with threads on Hull, QPR, Port Vale etc, etc but as soon as a Scottish fitba' thread opens they are staright in there sl*gging it off. Fishing trip? Maybe!  That's all I have to say, apart from

Nah SB, they'r more worried about facing us in the Cup replay

I've posted a link below to a picture from the Thistle v Rangers cup game. I think it's a great football picture, irrespective of what team you support (apart from Rangers maybe!). Incidentally, the No. 2 in the photo is a certain Simon Storey who has made the massive leap from the Melbourne Victory to playing for the Jags!!

Sky 3 could have whilst English games on Sky 2. They treat Scottish football as bad as they treat "Live" Championship games. Every other 'Sky Sports" in the world show them except Sky NZ, What do you expect when Martin Crowe has a hand in the programme selecting/scheduling?
