Anyone else going? Want to share accomodation to save costs?

I couldn't commit to an accomodation share just yet. But am hoping to make enough money over the summer to be able to go to this.

Hi, I booked a 2 bedroom apartment at the Seasons Botanic Gardens in Southbank/South Melbourne. It's on St. Kilda Road, and is about a 10 minute walk to AAMI stadium through the Botanic Gardens, and about a $9 or $10 Uber to Federation Square (Transport Bar) and/or the CBD.

I stayed there last weekend, and if you have Twitter there are pictures of my room (a 1 bedroom apartment version) on the "#BardysWorldTour" feed. The rooms are very flash and comfortable.

The 2 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 (2 in each room). I think you can get 2 King size beds and/or 1 king and 2 singles. It includes bedrooms, kithchen, bathroom, lounge with couch and arm chairs and dining table, flat screen TV and a balcony.

I used booking.com and got 4 nights (for up to 4 people) for AUD$992. That works out at AUD58 each per night.

I thought that was pretty good value.

There are HEAPS of hotels in the CBD. Check out somewhere like booking.com - anywhere inside the rectangle bounded by Spencer St, Flinders St, La Trobe St. and Spring St. will be great. South Yarra near the Botanic Gardens is also good - I find it quieter but still really handy by tram, Uber or walk.

I am coming back to NZ for a visit and have decided to fly via Melbourne over easter weekend deliberately so that I can attend.

I haven't been to an away game (at least in Australia) before.

What's the deal with tickets, do I have to buy via a different link to get an away ticket, or buy in a specific zone, or?

Do travelling fans or local supporters tend to all buy in the same area?

-Peter

Tickets from www.ticketek.com.au

Buy in the Away Supporters Bay.

The Vicotry play WSW on Good Friday.

The Nix play Melbourne City on Even Better Monday.

Air NZ have a 24 hour sale on on, ends midnight tonight. Wellington - Melbourne 1 way, 21 March - 02 April (includes Easter) $149 seat only, $169 seat + bag. Doesn't cover the return leg. But might worth checking out. If you do go to Melbourne, MVCvWSW is on Good Friday and NixvMCY is on Even Better Monday.

My wife and I are going to both these games. Is there some way I can ensure my tickets to WSW v MBV don't end up in the feral zones? She'd never come to football again.

Check the Ticketek.com.au site,. the active support bays are clearly highlighted in the drop box when you select where you want your seats to be.

Thanks. I didn't see anything about that when I chose our seats, but there wasn't much left so we just got the best we could.

If y'all don't bring three points home with you, I'm claiming that you're cursed too. No pressure.

North Terrace are not being feral at the moment - no organised support because they wont let them have some fence banners. Should be pretty safe (and quiet)

For people traveling to Australia, heads up that things could take longer with Airport strikes over there
