This was HUGELY popular when we did it in Bloc 5 back in the Kingz days.

I reckon we should give it a go. I am happy to try leading it.

[Leader] Well shake it up baby now... [Everyone] Shake it up baby

[Leader] Twist and shout! [Everyone] Twist and shout!

[Leader] C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon baby now...[Everyone] Come on baby

[Leader] Come on and work it on out [Everyone] Work it on out

[Leader] Well, work it on out, honey [Everyone] Work it on out

[Leader] You know you look so good [Everyone] Look so good

[Leader] You know you got me goin', now [Everyone] Got me goin'

[Leader] Just like I knew you would [Everyone] Like I knew you would

[Leader] Well, shake it up, baby, now [Everyone] Shake it up, baby

[Leader] Twist and shout [Everyone] Twist and shout

[Leader] C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now... [Everyone] Come on baby

[Leader] Come on and work it on out [Everyone] Work it on out

[Leader] You know you twist your little girl [Everyone] Twist, little girl

[Leader] You know you twist so fine [Everyone] Twist so fine

[Leader] Come on and twist a little closer, now [Everyone] Twist a little closer

[Leader] And let me know that you're mine [Everyone] Let me know you're mine

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

This was good on Sunday - could we Phoenix it up a bit with word changes?

If someone comes up with some simple catchy Phoenix oriented words we could certainly try it.

One of the beauties of Twist and Shout though is that it is well known and easy to pick up...

How about...

.

Well, shake it up, phoenix now (Shake it up, Phoenix)

Wellington (Wellington)

C'mon c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, Phoenix now (Come on Phoenix)

Come on Ernie's men (Ernie's Men) *****

.

Well, we wear yellow (we wear yellow)

And we wear black ( we wear black)

We are the yellow fever, (yellow fever)

Siggy's our centre back, our centre back.

.

******* you could stick, Cunningham, Louis Fenton, Ridenton, in here for better rhyme or just vary it to suit if someone does good

One of the great chants.

The more drunk you are, the more lines of the song you miss out.

Three for me, and two for them.

Think that if we're doing it we need to use the original lyrics to get it flying.

Re-writes can go in the extra for experts category.

Or the cut down, more often used version sung at the Boleyn ground;

Well, shake it up, baby, now (Shake it up, baby)
Twist and shout (Twist and shout)
C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon, baby, now (Come on baby)
Come on and work it on out (Work it on out)

You know you twist so good (Twist, so good)
You know you twist so fine (Twist so fine)
Come on and twist a little closer, now (Twist a little closer)
Let me know that you're mine (Know you're mine)
Whoooo
De....de de de de, de de de x4
De de de
Ah...ah...ah.....ah
Pause

Shake it, shake it up baby now.....

We need to stick to that... full version in too hard basket when we can't even manage to get the tune to Go West right.

Think we've sung it at some point during every game this season.
