Hard to leave out anyone else but Burns, unless Williams does not recover.

We should give free tickets to that family of English tourists. The media coverage would go ballistic, journalists would fly in from around the nation. Could sellout the stadium with people clamouring to see what carnage they leave behind.

Nah they will come to the Melbourne City game on Saturday when the crowd, should again go close the 10,000.

That way when they win the $10K, coupled with their eat and run tactics, they should be able to survive in the Wellington hills for couple more years, have twenty inbred children and claim citzenship.

Anyway I thought they were Scottish.

Weather forecast really isn't looking great so I imagine it'll put a fair number of fairweather fans (or those with kids) off. Hopefully the forecast gets it a day out, but yeah, hasn't been the same level of hype for this one. Too many games in quick succession maybe?

Possibly not the greatest timing with the cricket and tennis quarters on at the same time as well plus money tightening to buy all the stuff for the new school year too. But none of that can really be helped I guess. A win should hopefully lead to another 10,000 crowd on Saturday no matter what anyway!

I'm hoping that regardless of result, there will still be a good crowd on sat. A win, will of course help that. Had we not had such a busy schedule, I'd be expecting back to back winds, but intrigued to see how the teams recovery has been.

If Williams is fit, it might be 3:2, Krishna (2) and Williams, with Fenton assists

I know many here would like Sheridan to start but I do not see him as having the speed (as he is a tall bloke) to contribute early in the game.  If anything he might slow our normal "ambush" early game plan.  OK this is not what happened against Victory and CCM who both scored first, but I wonder if he is not a natural replacement for Singh or one of the two strikers (Williams / Krishna).

Walking home when it's pissing down is definitely worse.

i guess it depends how long you are driving or walking for, or getting soaked walking to your car and then driving for 2.5 hours while wet.

A win would definitely help but I am cursing that I forgot my hat this morning.  Walk back from my bus stop to house is not short.  Definitely time to get a good drenching. That's ignoring the walk from the stadium too

That Taylor-Dura pairing in a back 3 is great, but in a back 2 it's horrifying

Won't be a back 2, Kopa will slot in for Doyle in the 3.

Very much hope that's true, but the graphic shows we're playing a 4-3-3 and since they've fixed the graphics recently to show our proper formations, I'm quietly worried

Pretty much in line with what several people on here have been saying. Singh maybe fatigued, Williams did come off with a knock the other day, and Kopa maybe better than Doyle.

No way is Rudan 'resting for the easier match', he will 100% be picking according to who he best thinks will win this match, but obviously their level of tiredness comes into it. Williams or Sheridan has been a close call for a couple of weeks, it could either be a tactical decision or a flow on from his knock vs Victory.

The Burns haters will foaming at the mouth!!

Given how Burns was playing before being dropped for Williams - linking up well with others but pants in front of goal, the #10 role might suit him well, assuming that's where he's put.

Maybe he's managing the workload although it's interesting that the front end of the pitch which scored three goals against Victory has changed drastically while the backs that conceded three goals have just been tweaked.

Maybe tactical or maybe a response to teams starting to figure us out.

Pretty exciting nonetheless.

Yeah, wonder if Rudan is managing workloads. Team announced could easily be the same formation with Burns as a 10

Is it a good sign that all the pitch side telly advert  screens are face down on the sidelines with sandbags holding them down?
