PlayStation 3 Or 4? FIFA Or Pro Evo?

So I was looking at getting a PlayStation and noticed 3 seemed to have lots more games? Which is better

And I used to love pro Evo. How does it compare to Fifa these days?

Well the 3 is older, the ps4 has only been around for 2 years and is a superior console.  But if you just want sharkloads of games to play and aren't worried about not playing any newer\upcoming games then PS3 will do what you need.

If you want to be able ot play the latest and greatest then PS4.  Any games released for both now will likely be cutdown\not as good versions on the older gen hardware.

I've been told the latest PES is fantastic and a return to form, so if you have the money then probably a PS4 and PES.

If you just want a way to kill some time on a football game and dont care about performance, graphics etc then PS3 will do fine, or hell you could get a PS2 off TradeMe.

bought a PS4 on a bit of a whim on the weekend (also got very lucky to buy it for $1 above reserve.

I know it's not a PS5 but it comes with all the frills, two wireless controllers, gaming headphones, charging stations, 4 games etc.

Now for the questions - bearing in mind the last gaming console I've owned was a PS2 back in 2010 or so...

What games would you recommend - but NOTE I get motion sick very easily, so no first-person shooters, or even 3rd person games in 360 (like some Mario, Spyro etc)...

I will be buying PES21 and I'm very excited about that, but I'd like to see what else is out there, especially things I can play with my wife/son. Although I'm afraid they'll end up playing the likes of Minecraft together as I tried it once and felt quite queasy...

Only on pc, it's apparently unplayable on previous gen consoles.

I downloaded PES21 Lite and played a few Portugal vs Argentina games. The gameplay ain't half bad. Wish the Lite version had a few more teams to choose from (I did play one Bayern Munich v Man Utd game) but not enough to really get a taste. Also the difficulty level must have been set very low as I won every game...

I will definitely buy the full version though as I love career type games. Hoping I'll be able to pick a rubbish team (maybe Niko Kirwan's Reggiana in Serie B or lower) and work my way to the top.

I actually prefer PES sometimes because FIFA just feels a little bit clunky to me. However, I still like both games because of my love for football. However, if you are playing the PS3, FIFA is the way to go but if you're playing the 4, you will be blessed with a plethora of choices. Of course, the latest installments are great especially with the updated rosters. Make sure that you have fun with this because football is actually one of the best designed sports games in the world compared to others like basketball and pro wrestling.

Shame copyright stops some teams real names being used. Even in FM 2020 "Juventus" doesn't exist.
