Say NO to NIMBYs

Yellow Fever fans love footy, we love the Nix, and we loved the idea of the Petone Arena.

Football in Wellington has evolved and grown, and the city is ready for a stadium built for football.

We reckoned the Petone Arena was a great concept: a small, boutique ground where the Wellington Phoenix could thrive.

We also reckoned Petone was the best place for it. Lots of bars, a thriving high street, and the potential to become the home of football not just in Wellington, but in New Zealand.

There was a small but organised movement against the arena proposal. Good on them for having their say, but there were also plenty of us in favour, and we needed to make submissions in support so the council heard both sides.
