What Patrick said. Any goal kick or defensive kick (idk or dk) taken inside the goal area or penalty area must leave the penalty area before touching another player. Otherwise it's a retake.

All power to you Patrick.

I was very concerned a few years? ago when you were promoted from the masses to a Mod.

I sensed you would get a power trip, you were way too young, naive, no life skills apart from a lucky pash from an intoxicated lass in the stands and a bit of a geek.

Whilst you will always be the last quality, you are our geek and have matured beyond your tender years

Smithy, the polar opposite to you is a hard act to follow but you have picked up the baton thrown to you with some wicked side spin and are steaming ahead.

Now the day you stop Thising Tegal, we will know you would have truely arrived.

Impressed with how the sound quality turned out Patrick.

For those who were not there - (everyone except the three of us) we had to keep telling each other to speak up because it was so noisy at Four Kings it was difficult to hear each other across the table... so for the pod to come up as well as it did... bravo on the levels & editing Patrick.

I should add a download button to the podcast page on here. That's a good idea.

The latest episode of #PhoenixCity is out now on iTunes and at http://yellowfever.co.nz/podcasts! The pod wrap up the action from Gosford where the Phoenix beat the Mariners 1-0 to make the R16 of the cup. The FFA have added a bunch of salary cap exemption and managed to piss off the PFA. The Napier juggernaut keeps rolling on, this time in the Chatham Cup, and Danny Who's U17's have found out who they will face in Chile.

Good pod, nice to get the opinions of the game.

FYI you can also make calls to phones on Skype if you want to do an interview with someone who doesn't have it. Will be cheaper than calling with your land line as well.

Thanks good point re Skype to Phone.

Even better in that I don't have a landline (haven't had one for 5 years actually), so it was a call from my cellphone to Shaun's cellphone.

Hi guys, thanks for your efforts.

You had been improving, but this podcast was a step back.

Four suggestions:

1) Don't make baseless accusations about players enjoying a night out in Sydney. If you have it on a good source, then maybe, but this sounded like you were trashing the player without any justification.

2) Don't talk about what you ate last week. Would you care if you were listening to another podcast that talked about what they ate?

3) Don't moan about something that happened in your own match a year ago. Where is the context for the listener?

4) It's better to be brief and to the point, than waffle on about irrelevant things. The listeners may get bored.

Do keep it up though; you will be a slick unit by the time the season starts.

Otherwise great and good to see I was mentioned.

I disagree, there is a line but they haven't crossed it. You want to hear a bit of banter and opinions, they shut it down pretty quickly and never let it linger too long. I think they've got the balance about right.

You should check out out of our a league for an irreverent podcast.

Good pod. But you really tired towards the end. Maybe you guys need to join a similar strength and conditioning program to the nix. I'm sure if you contacted the club they'd be happy to help out.

I'm with Ryan.

I want to hear the lads chat about football with the odd slice off gossip. Mixed with the odd tangent that may be totally irrelevant.

1) Baseless accusations are best accusations.

2) Talking about four kings sundaes are awesome

3) Moaning about anything is awesome

4) "It's better to be brief and to the point, than waffle on about irrelevant things. The listeners may get bored."  First waffles are awesome with ice cream.  Secondly I'd get bored if there wasnt any "waffling" a.k.a. banter.

Yeah the laptop kept failing and we had to keep re-recording bits and we ended up super frustrated and definitely tired. I'll send Lee Spence an email today.

A genuine thank you Bevan for taking the time to give us the feedback. I really welcome ALL feedback - the hardest thing is knowing what it is that listeners like and don't like - so without feedback (positive and negative/ideas for improvement) we are running blind.

As has been mentioned, we were really tired and frustrated by the end this week - the first time we recorded the FFA Cup game section, which was all distorted as per the last outtake at the end, was (I thought) some of our best work so far, so it was really annoying to have lost it.

I've heard the 1st half of the podcast and kinda had a couple of similar annoyances to Bevan (the accusation that Doyle is undisciplined and out at the pub and just some of the banter was a bit long) However, that was the 4th take? So you then have to repeat stuff that you have said and it was funny the 1st time around but the 4th time, the delivery is missing and its like 'meh'. The snappiness is lost so its very much unfortunate for you guys cause had the 1st take been good, we could well be talking about the best podcast you guys have ever done. Its just unlucky more than anything else.

The point you are blind without feedback is quite pertinent. A DJ in a bar can see his audience and change the music to their reactions on the fly. A DJ on the radio flies blind cause he gets zero feedback and subsequently, has no idea how he rates and what his audience want to hear.

Keep at it. I would honestly prefer this podcast, which has been good so far, than a void with nothing so you are already a head of the game.

This is all valid feedback. First step is to make sure the laptop doesn't fudge us over anymore and we'll end up with a better product immediately.

I think the tangents and in jokes should be limited but they are necessary. From a purely selfish point of view I listen mostly to hear facts on the stuff I haven't caught up on. So the Wynne saga, U17 draw for Aussie (man that's rough!), the salary cap changes - all good stuff.

Then I think it's important to be clear when you're talking facts and when you're talking smack. I love the goss/unsubstantiated runour, and it was pretty clear you were making shark up about Doyle so no dramas there.

Chur again.

if the Doyle thing was made up then that was a bit sharke.

Wasn't this the kid who initially was kicked out of the wellnix for partying too much? Kicked out is probably to harsh but he wasn't wanted at the expiry of a contract

He then got his shark together and has been signed up.

So if no basis at all then that's really sharke.

If there is any semblance of truth in it, then yep bring it on as we need to know this stuff

see that helps. If it had been said "2 years ago he lost his development contract for being a lad and a rager" then fair play. Otherwise you have to be careful when using names.

I guess being an unofficial Phoenix fan forum and then by extention, associated with the Phoenix, you would want to be careful with allegations on current club members. Once they have left, open season.

My thoughts aren't completely baseless. More than one person has seen him at El Horno in the early hours of the morning in his Phoenix suit.

Whether this was the case in Sydney or not, well that is complete speculation.
