Let's just move the A-League to NZ, then kick out all the Aussie teams next year

Quite likely this is the last round with spectators. Sux. Just as Phoenix get a home final it'll be played in an empty stadium!

(If Aus has banned crowds, quite likely that NZ follows pretty soon after).

Going off Uffie's comments I'd say they let him go immediately and he will miss tomorrow's game. Best of luck to him, very exciting time!

In other news, will he need to self isolate when he gets back? I also read somewhere that we're at least contemplating moving the team to Australia for the remainder of the season to avoid having to fly there and back every second week

Who knows really, anything is possible at the moment. Things changing daily. Would obviously be a massive pain if so. Added complication that Davila and Nix would be dealing with possible varied entry rules, for two different countries (NZ & Oz)

See it was given as one of the reasons, as to way CONMEBOL March World Cup qualifiers were postponed. The fact that many of the players coming from Europe may either struggle to gain entry to their home country, or have to go into quarantine when they return to their Euro clubs. Same with AWs games canned.

He's in the phoenix match preview which came out after the birth so maybe not. 

Apparently victory arrived a couple of days ago, either precaution from the virus or treating the game like a final.

Looks like tomorrow will be it for the season, bit of a whimper of an end to what's been one of our best seasons. Hope we smash the vuckers off the park.

Read somewhere else they budget A League will lose min $2M dollars gate earnings, if finals series has be to played closed doors, as looks likely.

I honestly think they need to shut up shop for 30 days and then reassess.  As Turmoore said, it's a long off-season

Very interesting situation. Do we base ourselves there and finish the season off behind close doors? Will the FFA just take the top 6 teams as they are now and go ahead with the finals? Will they pause or can the league altogether?

The league will 100% pause..like every other league in the world. Why do people think the A-League will be different?

Probably because of the decisions thus far made by the other codes over there. It seems like the only prudent step at this stage

NRL, AFL will stop too. They're delusional right now, and quite frankly irresponsibile too.

Stevie, Libby and Cammy are 1 card away from suspension so might wanna drop them in game against MVC seeing they have been our consistent and outstanding performers. 

Davilas probably gonna leave after Sundays match unless he decides to leave after the Sydney game but I highly doubt it. Wouldn't mind seeing Piscopo in his place while hes gone and then McCowatt slot in Piscopo's place. Seeing how we have coped with 3 games in a week before, I doubt we're gonna win against Sydney and Newcastle...but again its a fresh young squad so we should be fine.

Don't think we'll need to worry about who starts and who doesn't after Monday.

If A league tries to avoid postponement, by playing behind closed doors as the cricket did and AFL/NRL are planning (for TV revenue), Nix players will stay in Oz after the Sydney game until a decision is made to postpone. Next home game not scheduled until 5th April. Decision on season will have been made by then I suspect <sad face>

We win, City loose, we go second. 100% A-League will suspended after this weekend. Finals will played after this is over.

or if Davila needs to come back in a hurry.  May as well stay and njoy life.

Just great so Nix wont get a home final because of the common flue and FFA. Nix to play in Canberra for home final I bet.

If they resume and go straight to finals series, that makes no sense as each team has played different amount of games due to ACL and byes. At time of writing it ranges from having played 18 to 21 games depending on what team you are.

I get that trolling is your thing but COVID-19 is certainly not the common flu, if the league has to stop it has to stop.

I suspect that we will see something similar like in Europe and MLS. League suspended/postponed for a month, and then a further decision made maybe three weeks from now.
