Hot take - Kurto wasn't incredible or anything, our finishing was just pretty average. Look at the chalked off goal, where Hooper shot at the keeper twice and the second luckily went in. Most of our shots just went straight at him
Come on! He might be a ?, but he pulled of some top quality saves.
Kurto is a very good import keeper (just like that Swiss guy at WSW). He is a professional and owes us no loyalty past the one year contract he signed with us. It is not like he's been our team captain for several seasons, or just about to have a stand named after him, or something.
He is no snake in my books. I have no issues with him moving on to another club in order to build on his career.

Was only his second game he hasn't been in the matchday squad, think it's down to what Talay wants as his options off the bench. We had McCowatt and Sotirio covering his positions already

It's just tough for Waine at the moment because we have two import strikers and he's not good enough to break in. (no one expects him to be better than two seasoned pros; I've liked what I've seen from him though)

I see a lot of heavy stuff on here about McCowatt and I suspect 95 per cent is bull.
I'm sure he could have played in pub football in scandavia this year if he was inclined.
I don't know what he was offered in terms of contract length (and I suspect 95 per cent here don't know either) but would imagine he liked a one year contract as it allows him to play in Tokyo and if he fires allows him freedom to get a gig overseas at a reasonable level with no transfer fee complicating things.
That's just common sense.
He has done ok and based upon his performance this year would likely be offered another deal by the nix.
If he doesn't fire at Tokyo that is what he would take verses pub football.
