An tense encounter at Ben Burn Park saw the travelling Singing on the Train fans come away the happier last night. C. Jones opened the scoring for The Trains in the 23rd minute in what was proving to be a frantic first half hour that saw 7 shots by Lokomotiv and 8 shots by Dirty Sanchez. The Trains held the 0 - 1 lead at half time, but soon after the break J. Arnold equalised (53 miins). Then in the 77th minute a little bit of T. Nam brilliance gave The Trains a 1 - 2 lead that they held to the final whistle to go second in Division 3. You probably heard the roar when Thai Nam scored, because the match commentary went like this:

Khandallah Lokomotiv with the ball on 77 minutes

L. Allen trickles one through defense

What will Sanchez A.F.C do now?

T. Nam jostles with L. Bell outside the 18

Far corner from T. Nam

PICK THAT ONE OUT!!! What a finish!

T. Nam with a stunner to make it 1-2! Just like an Alan Shearer strike

All of Wellington can hear the roar!

Had an EPIC match last night vs Thunderthighs in the Prem Division!

0-1 down, to 3-1 up, to 3-4 down, to finish 4-4.

I don't know what it is about them that I seem to keep getting surprisingly good results in that match up...

As mentioned above, paraparaumu disjointed do me a massive favour in their epic 4-4 draw against their bunnies Thunderthighs united. Peow FC manager disappointed to go down to a 9 man Tegal side.

Division 2 is the lowest scoring division out of the 3. Probably because there is so much at stake, with only 3rd place carrying no consequence, every game could see a team move up to a promotion spot, or straight down into relegation trouble. Tawa AFC get off the mark against top of the table Wellington Phoenix, to keep themselves in with a chance heading into the second half of the season. While Tawa FC put themselves into the 2nd promotion spot, while keeping the Fat Cockneys in relegation bother for yet another week.

Wellington Phoenix FC 0 - 2 Sky Valley
Sanchez A.F.C 1 - 2 Khandallah Lokomotiv
Los Halcones Locos FC 3 - 5 Wellington United

I don't think Wellington United has had a boring game yet! Los Halcones Locos FC (sorry for getting your club name wrong previously) continue their miserable run. As a newbie to the league however, I think they were always targeting next season to make their mark! Watch for them to improve as the season continues, could be the promotion spoiler in the final few games. The trains keep chugging along as they look to rejoin their Tawa rivals in division 2.

That was actually quite an unreal game we had. You must be pretty gutted to have lost it. The scoreline was VERY flattering. I was down to 9 men, and you had 66% possession. Similar amount of shots, except all 5 of my shots on target happened to be goals.
Maybe give your keeper the flick!

Amping up for the match vs Peow tonight. Especially with my new buy on debut at left wing.

This fever league sure does throw up all sorts of results at times eh.

Escaped with a 1-1 draw at home to Peow in the Premier League. First points of the season for Peow, but they really deserved victory. I somehow managed a equaliser in the 67th minute that didn't look like it was coming. Got my hopes up to snatch a win, then I went down to 10 men five minutes later.

Happy to get a point out of that. Crucial in my campaign to remain the third best YF Trophy Manager! King of the Newbs!

Ahh hoping for the win after my loss to Disjointed in the NZ League, thought I could after I scored first but it was not to be. Happy to finally get some points up in the YF League though. Up against Battle Hill hoping to get more points.

The new striker and goalkeeper I signed today propelled Tawa FC onto a 3-1 win against bitter rivals Racing Club North Shore, and onto the top of division 2 after the first round of games! It's a good night in Tawa.

Boo Tawa FC! You have the bye next, so I'll retake the league lead.

Battle Hill FC are a bunch of saints. Or they're paying off the referee. Just 3 yellows in 4 games, they're walking away with this thing!

Also a massive logjam in the middle there. Remember, points have a higher relative value in a tight league (apparently), so behave.

I'm annoyed that I picked up three yellow's in that game just gone, since I got those three points, and others were not involved in the game, that counts as like 9 points against me, somehow.

Sick of going for fair play awards against all you cheats. Tegal, the champion is bottom of the fair play table. Probably only reason he keeps winning, dirty, dirty play.

Don't worry, I'll kick him to pieces next week.

stoked with a 3-3 result against sanchez last night, after scoring first, we conceeded 3 but managed to pull it back in the last 15, small tactical change and at 75th minute saw me pull the draw.....

Nothing got past the defense, but we had trouble getting possession of the ball. Almost like we were chasing shadows all game. Luckily, nobody was walking about the refereeing performance after the match.

1-0 victory over Battle Hill. Got a bit confused when I saw "M. Duff jostles with S. Allen outside the 18" in the commentary as I have players with both those names. Turns out Battle Hill also has a S. Allen. Good to know that my players are not fighting between themselves for an opportunity to shoot.

Top of 2 leagues! And the manager of the year award goes to...

Tawa AFC need to start getting some wins on the board if they want to avoid relegation to division 3. A big 2-0 win for Racing Club north shore widens the gap between them,Tawa AFC and Racing Fat cockneys, and moves them closer to promotion. Wellington Phoenix still undefeated :p

Los Halcones Locos FC gets his first win in the fever League! Wellington Phoenix FC looking over their shoulders at a wooden spoon prospect now, rather than promotion.
Sky Valley 0 - 0 Sanchez A.F.C
Wellington United 1 - 2 Khandallah Lokomotiv
Wellington Phoenix FC 1 - 2 Los Halcones Locos FC

Any mistakes for division 3, let me know...

Battle Hill F.C with a record TWO yellow cards in this weeks match, sees them lose the overall lead, and are now tied with Sky Valley as the softest..I mean...most well behaved teams in the fever league.

There was drama as Theprof's Wellington Phoenix FC plummet down the table (from being in contention in 3rd to a lowly 11th) as they receive 3 yellow cards and their striker D.Arikan was sent off for a foul while he was the last man

 D. Arikan is off!

He's the last defender

The The Falconites are furious with that!

A horrific slide tackle from D. Arikan

Los Halcones Locos FC with the ball in space, looking to play short

Wellington Phoenix FC fans are convinced the los Halcones Locos FC player took a dive. The MRP have since ruled that there must surely be some half blind 90 year old referee somewhere in the world who would have also given that a red card, so the decision stands. Other Wellington fans are wondering why their striker was the last man in defence!

A potential premiership deciding game tonight against Thunderthighs United!

got a loss last time out, so looking for some revenge, colvins paraparaumu disjointed did me a favour a few weeks ago by drawing against TT, so a win puts me on top. TT will be looking for a draw or a win.

This is bigger than the melbourne cup!

I wonder if we should start some sort of tipping comp for the next season? haha. Could put pro days up for grabs.

The 1-1 Draw just about seals the premiership for Thunderthighs United.

Wellington Phoenix still undefeated, looking good for having 2 teams in the premiership! Fat cockneys put themselves back in the mix for promotion.

Sky Valley still completely dominating division 3! Amazingly one of 3 undefeated teams in the fever league so far this season. Khandallah lokomotiv pulling 6 points clear of 3rd place, so division 3 is almost looking like a dead rubber for the rest of the season in terms of who gets promoted.
