History.  Pretty sure I've never been ahead...in fact I almost guarantee it, considering how noob I was in the early days...an emotional moment...

I think I passed it at around 4k as well.

I don't know, I hadn't used my SEA account but its quite old, I could use a voucher i had for 1500 that was for new and old accounts but not the 800 for new accounts only.

Jnr Jnr is playing "Battle for Wesnoth" which looks quite cool (think Middle Earth turn-based strategy game, sort of like Stevo's "War in the East" but with wolves rather than panzers).

Might give it a go.

However does anyone have any experience with this sort of game but set in ancient Roman times (preferably Trajanic but republican times OK as well, would also like Han dynasty Chinese but unlikely I think)?

Not sure I'll give it a go but I am looking at another game as WOT is just rubbish at the mo.

WT is great but it's not as snappy as WOT as the battles take longer.

WOT sucking.

I can rarely get into a team that's not half dead within a few minutes.

OK playing after nightshift so knackered but I'm still getting kills.

I actually think the nerf of the SPG, (yes I know some nations don't feel or play nerfed), has lead to the rise of the  StupidHeavy. 75% of recent defeats was down to heavies being in stupid places they had no place being.

In pre-nerf SPG patches you had to have some skill to survive as a Heavy and that showed with awesome Heavy players.

Now you have a bunch of sh*te TD players and heavies just taking off to stupid points in the map.

Classic example me in my Stug high up in the team, in a  Sigfried Line doing my usual flanking and killing.  In an ENCOUNTER battle all the Heavies follow each other outside the city, get picked off by long-range TD's and wonder why they can't get back to stop the cap beacuse they are TOOOOO FARRRRR AWAAAAAAY!!!!.

Its happening so much is not just I've had bad luck

4,500 damage defeat.

Still.  Not as bad as Munk earlier who did 5,500 and got 9 kills and lost.

Found some lols on my Alt.  The Cruiser Mk 2... the slow one at Tier III... it can have a 94mm Derp.

It's woefully innaccurate and the shell trajectory is awful but when it hits.  I one shotted a Luchs last night and took a Hetzer down to two hit points with one shot.  All tier 3s are fair game.  The inaccuracy and reload time do mean you need friends nearby but it is giggles.

Nice vid munk.

I've re-installed WOT as I've still got no support feedback from Wargamming or Nvidia. So far 7 played 5 wins and 2 losses and only one crash to desktop. So may start playing again if the crashes stay to 1 in 7. My other option is to switch to North America as some reckon it's the Asia server bottleneck that increases the risk to CTD.

War Thunder has been fun as graphically it's so much nicer than WOT. Got my first "top gun" the other day, using my Beauforts, Wirral attacker and my two Spitfires for 4 players shot down, a couple of assists and two ground troops taken put. I was unstoppable in multi-plane dogfights.

Also got Forced for cheap on Steam. Sort of Diablo clone but with amazing co-op play, not had much of a chance to play it yet.

Give Path of Exile a try. Free to play Diablo clone made by Kiwi's that's hit the world by storm. It is everything Diablo 3 should have been and then some

yup-lets do that! Though I can see for the next day or so Tier 4 matches having about 10 Marders on each side ending in draws cos no one can spot em
got the 3800 XP on the Marder 2 and about 100k of convertable XP to work up the new German TD line

I've only got about 18k of free XP lurking as I used lots up on the 100M1 to full sexiness.

Have the 3800 on the Marder though.

Bought my 38t. Went to use it and decided I should put mods on then had to go out.

Everyone is out in T18s clubbing T7 Combat Cars but I've run the Cruiser II instead (I may have run my H35 as well). Lots of people in Marders grinding the 38t and the derp on the Cruiser II hits them like a Pinata.

Path of Exile

Well that's an eye opener. Think of it as Diablo 3's slightly scruffier but cooler younger brother, gameplay is pretty much identical. The classes are very familiar Marauder - Barbarian. Ranger - Demon Hunter, etc. The Lore is like in many games a bit meh and I wonder why they don't hire fantasy writers like Sang Froid did to give it some depth. It is obviously loot-driven, where you can buy and sell with other players. Microtransactions are available but only for increasing stash space or cosmetics which is how it should be.

What is different is the game-play modes/servers you can play on. Standard, Standard HardCore, Nemesis and Domination - each give it a slighter different and more challenging aspect.

Another great idea is skill gems that you can socket - Nothing new here people will think, they started that in Diablo 2. The difference is that you don't need an NPC or special ability to remove them and the Gems level with you. Buff and stat changing objects are also readily available.

Played until 3 o'clock completely absorbed, no idea of the time.

Played 3 characters all 'till level 10 Standard HC. Marauder, Witch and Ranger - the Witch being the most fun.

Pros:

Simply more fun than Diablo 3 as they've introduced some of the above aspects that make for  wider character development, particularly the gems making for a great loot system. Servers, (there's an Aussie one) are pretty stable. It's better than Torchlight 1 and 2 also as I never liked the Toony graphics.

Cons: I know it's about atmosphere/Diabloesqueness but the graphics are a little grungy sometimes making it difficult to see particularly in dungeons. The hordes of monster are a little relentless and involves lots of mouse tapping a bit like Torchlight 2 RSI - FTW! For some classes there is a lack of Identity and Portal scrolls drops making identifying and selling loot a bit of a pain. A Torchlight pet would have been nice.

Hmmms: You can't interact with the environment, but it's no loss. I think they wasted wayyyyy too much time on developing this in Diablo 3 and it hardly mattered at all when playing, they could have spent more time developing classes.

Bottom Line:

If you like the Diablo and Torchlight series or Baldur's Gate and Dungeon Siege you cannot afford to miss this.

Massive grind in the M10 Wolverine. Can't stand it. Stats back that up. 37% wins, 27 kills 41 times destroyed in 53 battles. 1.16 damage ratio at least.

I don't remember enjoying it but my stats are quite good.  Suspect that was a result ot platooning in it with Ed and Munk carrying me.

I did run it on one of Junior News' friends accounts about a month ago and picked up a four kill top damage win so I am tempted to get it back and try to Ace Tanker it.

5x has been pretty kind to me despite the stupids out there (although it took me three goes to get a win in the ISU152, all three tier X battles, one a big damage one on Erlenberg Encounter where we were capped out despite a 15k, 52% E-100 being within easy distance to stop the cap - oh and 3 for a win at the other end of the spectrum in the H35).

I only had a couple of pancakes in 25 battles.  One with Munk so I won't bring that up.

Fadins Medal -Destroy the last enemy tank with your last remaining shell -2nd time in 22k games -the chance doesn't come along very often, though with some of the more recent tanks either being fast firing or smaller ammo loads (like the Strur Emil) you might see a few more of these

How things can changes.  Two days ago won 8 of 11 across both account 3 from 3 on news.

Last night I was 2 of 11 at one stage and finished something like 7 of 19 (unless you count goung 6 of 8 in Team battles).  Just awful, awful teams.  One battle where our JPanther TKed two of our team and we got smashed about 15-2 lead Munk to - quite rightly - throw his toys.

I'd have quit if I didn't so desperately need the 5s on 4 tanks.
