I'm hoping to catch up with this all at some stage but cricket stats and work have put pressure on it.

On another note, the lack of live betting during CFC vs LFC annoyed me the other night. Just after CFC scored, I had $20 to put on an LFC win and neither the app OR the TAB kiosk at 4 Kings had options for the game after kick-off. By the time we won 3-1 I was ecstatic about the win but annoyed I missed the chance to chuck a few bucks on it.

had 6 of the first 7 correct, which would have had a pretty tidy cash out option on a £19k bet ?

Keep chucking them up - my ability to stay on top of the stats is greatly diminished with cricket season getting udnerway and doing handover the of Club Captain's role after 5 looooong years.

Will see if I can play catch-up at some point but it's touch and go at the moment.

I guess you can in person but you need an account to do anything online.

Took some digging to find this thread (thought it was in the English football section, probably should be).

Anyone keen on doing this again, or just discussing Premiership betting tips in general in here? I don't bet very often but got some money to play with now. Got one of those TAB emails last week that you get when you haven't logged in for ages saying they have given you $5 which you have to use by Sunday etc. So placed a multi on a few Olympic events for the sake of it (didn't win). Then got an email the next day that there's a current daily prize draw when you place a multi bet. Never win these things but this time it said "you have won $100" and sure enough it appeared in my account this morning. Not wanting to leave that much in there to just lose I went to the Brandon Street branch this afternoon to try and withdraw it but apparently it's not a prize, it's just credit you have to bet with.

What do people think of that? I understand it from their point of view - let people who don't bet often think they have won to keep them betting more of their own money. And I didn't bother to read the terms and conditions before I went in. But the fact it was described as a "prize draw" and told me I "won" meant I thought it was a prize. I know the T&Cs will make it clear but wouldn't hurt to make it clear in the email that the prize is TAB credit and not cash.

They always have qualifying conditions in the small print. You'd likely need to settle a certain amount of bets before you can withdraw it, usually 2-3 times the amount. Basically, I'd just take it and put on a couple of low-odds, two result multi's at the full $100.

If you don't bet a lot, they don;t explain it clearly but if you do, you'll know it's quite usual.

Also, don't bother with the TAB, Bet365 is a much better option and gives you cash out options on live events and credits direct to your debit or credit card within a few days.

EDIT: ...and Liverpool shafted my multi of course!

I realise this doesn't address your main concern (should they have let you know it's a credit) but I guess the best thing you can do is bet on as close to a sure thing as possible - something like the All Blacks to beat Australia at $1.09 and take it out then.

Yup, mines been awful as well. I needed one bet on a tennis multi to come in to turn $20 into $280. my guy in the last game was winning 6-2, 4-6, 5-1...and lost.

That's a good idea, although presumably then I'd only get the $9 in cash and can never have the original $100 right? Is that how it works with credit they give you, or if you win would you get that amount too? I guess I'll just use it to make few multis.

At $1.09 if you put on $100 and it comes in, you get back the $100 + $9.

Yeah I understand the maths, I was questioning whether I'd get to take the $100 in cash since it was the credit I "won" or whether that would forever remain credit until it was all lost and I would only be able to withdraw the $9. How does it work when you bet credit they give you as opposed to your own money?

Usually have to place bets to the equivalent of 3x what you were given in credit.

Thanks, didn't know that, I assumed once it was used as a bet, it converted to cash.

Getting so close with big bets but just missing out.

Picked 5 of 6 CL games this morning using Bet365.

Bet was $5 and winnings were $1700 and I just needed Real to hold their 2-1 lead... 3 minutes to go and they concede. Gutted.

I have won a $200 betting voucher before and I asked if I had to bet it or could I take the cash, she said I could take the cash. Also when you get those free bets you have to take a bet on it then you can take the full amount out. So what people said about taking a sure thing bet with the all blacks then you should be able to take it out
