For christsakes man if you are going to roll with us - then do your homework. Garlic pisses off vampires not werewolves. FFS you need silver to kill werewolves!!!!

Oh ... fiddlesticks!

For vampires I had a couple of rump steaks and a sirloin for the really angry ones.  That is until Wednesday when we would have had the rump steaks for dinner.

Werewolves... we have some junk mail cat food samples - do you think that would do the trick or should I pop down to the Warehouse and get some Barry Manilow CDs?

Chef.  What's the best way to prepare werewolves?  I was thinking a nice stew (maybe like Korean/Chinese cuisine).

Will give zombies a miss and not really game to try vampires (unless you know a good recipe).

Ranged weapons are the go in survival mode.Kill from a distance.Don't let them get close or you could be wounded (or worse). Then who is going to protect your family?

I'm fairly sure like rabbits and badgers they'll carry TB. So they'll have to be roasted to death, (maybe literally if you've got no silver). Also because the meat is likely to be quite "gamey" a curry is the way to go.

Firstly it's always a good idea to skin the werewolf straight away before they transform back to their human shape. This prevents the change and it just makes it easier and less upsetting particularly on the kids to eat wolf rather than human. This is good at the beginning of the Apocalypse - give it a year and no one will be giving a sh*t what they are eating right?

The skin can made into a nice pair of furry slippers maybe a Christmas present for Grandad?

Werewolf Korma

 1) Hang up Slain werewolf for 3 days to let the maggots fall out. (don't be naughty and have a nibble before the 3 days is up).

2) Roast to death to kill the TB.

3) Add 1tbsp turmeric, garam masala, funugreek, (tricky to get hold up so buy online before the Apocalypse), paprika, chillies, 70g fresh ginger, 1 tbsp coriander, 6 cloves of garlic, crushed, tsp pepper and gently fry is a large sauce pan in oil.

4) Knock up a basic tomato sauce recipe, see Jamie Oliver.

5) Add the sauce to the spices, then add 200mls of red lentils already prepared, 200mls coconut milk, 100ml Greek yoghut.  and simmer for 20mins.

6) Add the chopped up Vulpine/Human hybrid to the pan and continue to simmer for a further 30mins. Feel free to add some chopped up vegetables, (potatoes to give it a floury taste, etc). Add salt to taste

7) Serve with rice or Naan bread and garnish with fresh coriander.

If you are not hurling after 24 hours then you've cooked it properly. If you are howling however you might have a problem...

What would Nigella do (apart from snorting)?

Agreed not a great fan but unlike Nigella he gets stuck in with no soft focus pouting to the camera - You can't have that in an Apocalypse.

My mate said he was at the movies when the shake happened and super coach Big Ern was sitting in front of him. True to form, barely moved and no sign of worry whilst there was a bit going on around him. Gotta love that man!

could make a nice bloody Mary drink out of vampires.

Always marinate warewolves at least 12 hours before cooking as they are usually quite muscular and tough. Citrus usually loosens the meat.

Was a decent shake on the top (7th) floor in Featherston Street. Went on for ages and strong enough that we got under the desks.

One way of cutting a meeting short! ;)

No earthquakes until after 5 June please.  Then it can flatten the RoF.

How are all the Lower NI feverites?  Hopefully dry and warm.

Not sure if this wetness is getting close to the 2004 flood level (which was a regional emergency as opposed to the district emergencies in place now) but it looks pretty serious.

I'm scrolling through the Guardian's coverage of the quake and next thing I know I see a photo of that building which might collapse in Molesworth St - credited to Yakcall. Random.
