I read in a live updates thread that he had a shot saved late in the game. Shame it didn’t make the highlights but maybe it wasn’t threatening enough to make the cut.

Bayern have sold Renato Sanches to Lille, so that's one less midfielder on their books (although he plays in a deeper role than Singh)
Both the first team and reserves have matches on the same day (only a few hours apart too) for 4 out of the next 5 matchdays. So won't be as easy for him to be named in the first team and then look to play for the reserves the day after. Take into account the transfer dealings they've made lately as well and unfortunately he gets bumped down the pecking order.
Tom Doyle's Chemnitzer up next, then Stefan Marinovic's former club Unterhaching, and then Ingolstadt who briefly graced the Bundesliga a couple of seasons back, up after the International break. So it's not like he won't be having a bloody interesting time over there.

Been seriously brilliant tonight - pretty surprised to see that he easily looks the best player on the pitch. Playing as sort of a raumdeuter on the right wing, shows that Bayern may be treating him as a Muller protege

Quality is known to be a bit suspect at that level in Germany.
It's only really England that has depth/quality outside of the top two divisions which is why reserve teams are banned unlike Germany, Spain etc.
I suspect there are other reasons why they are banned as well

True but like Singh has bucket loads of potential and is young. Would be a different story if he was 30.

This is why some Bundesliga Clubs (eg Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt) made the decision a few year ago not to have B/u23 teams as they'd rather loan their best young players to Bundesliga 1/2 rather than have them play level 3/4.
(Their next team beneath the Bundesliga level is u19, most of whom will be released - eg Leverkusen offered pro contracts to 2 ex u19 squad players last year).

League 1 is very average. I don't think that there is third tier anywhere in the world that's better than the A-league, although obviously in some of those leagues there are big clubs that have fallen on hard times, and players who will go on to bigger and better things.

Augenthaler didn't play the whole game, wasn't on the field when I started watching midway through the first half and kitted up for Bayern in the 2nd half. Didn't see if he came on. Its basically a game in his honour, played at the stadium named after him.
Chemintzer are very poor, they have no money (and dodgy fan base) - not indicative of the quality across the league. It probably is more variable in quality, teams at the top would be close in quality to the bottom third of the 2nd BDL and teams in the bottom third close to top teams in the regional leagues. One big team in there is FCK, 50k seat stadium, and 2 times BDL and Pokal winners (both in the 90's), and quite a few teams that have been in the top division in the past 30 years.
1860 Munich is another huge club currently in 3. Bundesliga. There's also a few clubs that were regulars in the old DDR top division Oberliga, some of whom were quite successful in that era. Magdeburg won the Cup Winners' Cup in the 1970s for example.
FCK (FC Kaiserlautern) also won two German titles in 1950s. So total of 4 league championships. Yes a big club in Liga 3 (first time ever dropped to the 3rd tier).

As someone who attends League one/two games 2/3 times a month and follows the Nix religiously I'd say A League is mid League One.

There is more variety in the quality of players in the A-League. Best players are very good, worst players in a match day squad are pretty weak. So it makes comparisons hard.
Yeah, there are very many more "levels" in English than in Australasian football. To some degree the latter reminds me of the local Gaelic football scene, where people who just rock up to a club one day and have never played before might be training next to a guy who won an All-Ireland Championship medal.

I only watched from the 75th minute onwards, but that was legitimately terrible. I can't see how Singh is supposed to develop further playing at that level. Bayern II had at least 4 players who were completely useless (contributing literally almost nothing to the game) over the 15 minutes I watched.
