England will be gutted, they should have won that easily. Russia are very average, but some header from Berezutskiy though.

Very excited for the next game.

Russia keep turning up to tournaments with such shoddy sides, I keep thinking that surely they'll turn up with something better, but no.

The last decent side they had was in 2008, and don't think they'll be much better in 2018 too.

The commentator on my stream had a dry humour, he said Russia has to find more good footballers willing to take citizenship for their 2018 World Cup:

The weird thing about England always is that it's hard during the tournament while they're choking as usual to know how good they are. In 10 years will we look at this squad and think "wow, that was an awful squad" or "wow, that was an awesome squad"? Every squad of theirs for every tournament gets touted by the English media as the next upcoming Golden Generation, so which generations are actually made of gold, and which of tinfoil?

The Euro reminds how much less the players complain about every referee decision. The A-Legue is full of whining players who complaints about every throw in.

Also reminds me about how good commentators are, they talk you through the game some facts about the players etc. No bullshark opinions from pundits and endless/useless discussions about fouls and offsides and what if blabla. They bring on some real experts after game and not some road rage clown like FOX.

Just as well we turned down that friendly against Russia. They just play long ball crap. Wouldn't have been much of a spectacle with our champagne aligned football...

was joking Leggy. Would have been a great game to have. Don't think we'd get offered it again if they've seen anything about how we've played recently!

Should have beaten them by more in the end. Was a bit disappointed by Turkey, a fairly thuggish display, and offered very little going forward. We get them in World Cup qualifiers again, I hope they don't turn into drama.

I watch with a VPN on the two main German TV stations: ARD and ZDF

em.zdf.de

sportschau.de

The streaming quality of the ZDF is sometimes a bit blocky, the ARD is excellent.

They switch the coverage by game day, you have to click through some german and listen to german commentators.

They also have all kind of replays and camera angles to re-watch parts of the game.

eg. the complete game POL vs NIR

That could actually work really well, my parents-in-law are German :)

Thanks

Edit: are you using a VPN service?

been really good so far, especially with Wales winning their first game in a major tournament since '58. The game against England on Thursday is now even bigger.

A few of the games have been dominated by a team (Croatia, Poland, Germany) but have the score lines have all been close so have been interesting right to the end. Let's hope this continues through all the pool games.

I was tuning in expecting more from Turkey, they were a bit disappointing.

Check out the HD streams. Some of the HD streams are crystal clear (same quality as Fanpass for example).

It obviously depends on your internet connection as well, in regards to the experience, but if you've got fibre, you'll be laughing (no lagging).

 Spain 1–0  Czech Republic.

Spain began the game as you'd expect: dominating and holding on to the ball. An early chance was wasted as the ball was shot straight to Petr Čech by Álvaro Morata. Just before the half hour mark Morata fakes a shot, the defender attempts to block it and gives Morata a bit of extra space to shoot from wide but Čech saves it for a corner. The Czechs, however, not creating many chances as the match goes 0–0 into half-time.

Fàbregas with a top class clearance with less than thirty to go. Great throughball from one side to the other from Silva to Jordi Alba but Alba's control is off as the clock is winding down for Spain, unable to convert anything. Aduriz successfully attempts a bicycle kick but it's off to the left. When it all seemed to go astray for Spain, a great cross from Iniesta is met by Piqué as it goes past Čech with just a few minutes to go. A great reaction save from De Gea ensures the three points.

Piqué goal, 87'.

Commentators that actually put in a bit of effort to prepare for a match. Instead of turning up half hungover to spout stupid cliches.

I thought Belgium was very underwhelming, and the Italians were boringly effective. Though if Lukaku had taken the one chance Belgium had, could have been different.

Not a big fan of this Belgian side so was glad to see them lose, but now I have to psychologically prepare for these types of displays from Italians that take them all the way to the final...

Iceland's biggest moment in European football since their volcano forced Barca to travel by bus to Milan in 2010.

Iceland is gonna party until dusk, which I believe is in a couple of months.

I've seen estimates ranging from 26,000 to 40,000 from this morning. Apparently the Icelandic association had 26,000 asking for tickets, but they think a lot of people made their way over hoping to get their own tickets.

Awesome to see Iceland get a draw. Let's remember how well they did in the qualifying group, where they were the main cause for the Dutch staying at home this summer. I thought they'd struggle despite watching some of the qualifying matches with them because Sigurdsson from Swansea hasn't been too much in form and in the matches I watched he carried them. But the truth is they have a solid team looking at their squad: none playing in the local league, heaps playing in the top Europeans leagues. The way they play like a cohesive unit is mouth-watering. Good on them.

Old lover boy's not happy...

Ronaldo is such an arrogant Twit. Of course the smallest country to every qualify for the Euros will celebrate a draw against Portugal. Let's recap all the achievements: amazing qualifying where they destroyed the Netherlands to get here in the first place, they score their first goal in the Euros today, the achieve their first point in the Euros today, and they draw against the 8th best team in the world. There's now two games left, and with one win they're quite likely to qualify at least as one of the 4 out of 6 best third-placed teams. So in this result they have achieved all that and are looking pretty good for the next round because I reckon they can defeat Hungary and/or draw or win against a very underwhelming Austria. Austria has David Alaba, Arnautovic, etc. yet they couldn't defeat Hungary; Iceland is more than capable of pouncing on them.

He wouldn't know what it is as a small country to win anything, as he has always been underwhelming with Portugal, most importantly including the massive choke in Euro 2004, when they lost twice to Greece in their own backyard.
