To quote from that brilliant film from "The Who" called McVicar. There is a sing that says "My time is gonna come yeah". Well Burnley's time has come.

(Full Lyrics are here)

Load up your bullets

Shot me through the head

Gasp from where your standing

You might think I'm dead

When I hit the ground

Look at me bleed

Old man your sympathy is something I don't need

My time is gonna come (Yea)

My time is gonna come (Yea)

I walk from the shadows, and I walk in the sun

My time is gonna come (Yea)

My time is gonna come (Yea)

Somewhere is paradise and I found me some.

Oh yea

You can laugh at me now

Sticker on your face

Theirs always someone bigger, trying to take my place

You can go to sleep

Be madam Dan

Wakeup tomorrow find my gun is at your head

My time is gonna come (Yea)

My time is gonna come (Yea)

I walk from the shadows, and I walk in the sun

My time is gonna come (Yea)

My time is gonna come (Yea)

Somewhere is paradise and I found me some.

Oh yea

(Guitar Solo)

I say something nice

Give you a heart attack

I smile to yourface. then I stab you in the back

When I turn away

Your poison in my tea

That won't kill me boy taste like sugar in me.

My time is gonna come (Yea)

My time is gonna come (Yea)

I walk from the shadows, and I walk in the sun

My time is gonna come (Yea)

My time is gonna come (Yea)

Somewhere is paradise and I found me some.

Oh yea

Time is (Gonna come)

Time is (Gonna come)

Time is (Gonna come)

Time is (Gonna come)

Great volley and a great penalty save. That's put a cat amongst the pigeons although I fear by Xmas, Manure will be back up there in a top 2 position.......yet again.

Yip. They usually start off sh*te but are always there at the business end, unfortunately.

Great work to Burnley, mind! Superb goal, and penalty save...

Hello, Hello, Burnley are back, Burnley are back, Hello, Hello.

Well, we are going to enjoy this while we can.

Proud that the team is doing it by playing football (well to the best of our ability). The Burnley way.

Bring on the Chelsea, and then the Pool. Let's be having yer.

Fair enough. Might be worth punting the odd Jaegerbob or two on. Mind you if Burnley wins and the odds are currently at 22 to 1 for a Burnley win, do I get 22 Jaeger bombs? Jeez, takes me back to Sydney, that does!

Bugger. Just noticed that the Chelsea-Burnley match has been dropped by Sky tonight for delayed rowing.

I'm a bit grumpy now. Had been looking forward to it.

Chelsea are going to be very good. Our retention of possession has been jobbies. Could have been about down by a lot more, even though we had a golden opportunity early on.
A bit of a learning experience right now.

To be honest we were pretty awful in the first half, and I was quite happy to go in at 1-1. Hopefully neutrals stayed around for the 2nd half, because that was much more like it. Definitely competitive and scoring some cracking goals to boot.

I had a good feeling about Nugent (even though we hated him with a passion when he was a knob-ender). A North West lad (Evertonian if truth be known) with a point to prove, and he has shown that he knows how to score goals. Not sure what Pompey fans are thinking!

Good atmosphere on the Turf. Up the Clarets!

True about the 1st half, Burnley were pretty bad. I stayed tuned in for the 2nd half. Well done Burnley, and good luck to them for the rest of the season

Champing at the bit!

And it's No Nay Never, No Nay Never no more!

Interesting to read the comments of the likes of Mark Hughes, who has played in Manchester derbies and at Nou Camp. This is the most passionate of them all. Ryan Nelsen has expressed the same. A passion and intensity like no other. Something that the younger fans that follow the big-4 struggle to grasp.

It runs very very deep.

This is what it's all about. Come on you Clarets!

I like this comment from Ryan Nelsen (even if he plays for the B******s).

"I get asked by silly reporters if it's like an All Blacks-Australia game. I've been to several All Black-Australia games and they are an absolute yawn festival compared to this thing."

The whole article will reveal a little more about the intensity of this match.

Show time. Funny though as the commentator said this was a bitter rivalry game and there's the players walking out side by side all smiles and chatting with each other.

12:51 Blackburn's New Zealand-born captain Ryan Nelsen on the rivalry between Rovers and Burnley: "People south of these towns don't realise how big this is. I remember that only too well, LG. It was covered on The Big Match here in NZ, and young Billy O'Rourke ended up in tears. It really signalled the beginning of the dark days, which lasted until 1999 (when we once again became a regular fixture at 2nd tier level). At the end of 79/80 season, Burnley dropped to the 3rd tier for the first time in their 98 year (at that stage) history. Not many younger people realise that Burnley were pretty much a top level fixture up until that time (well, had more years in the top tier than 2nd tier). Little did we know that we would suffer 20 years pretty much confined to the depths and that we would be just one match from non-league football 1n 1987.

Even if we now get the odd mauling in the Premier League, you can understand why we are enjoying it just a little bit this past year or so.

I remember the QPR players went into the Burnley changing room after the game to console him. Wasn't his fault the team didn't perform in that game and QPR played really well, unlike today when they played absolute sh*t.
