There are a few things I'm pleased to see

- Firstly very few games at QBE Stadium when it's empty it makes for a terrible atmosphere.

- All Auckland City home matches at Kiwitea Street as it should be

- Waitakere's return to Trusts Arena

- Eastern Suburbs playing at Bill McKinlay Park instead of Ngahue Reserve

isn't Bill McKinley an artificial turf nowadays  ?

yes

they will be only team on turf then

Canterbury?

Yes English Park as been turf for a while now.

ahhhh forgot about chch

Two things - 1 the last time I saw BM Park it needed some work, sort of a tired artificial. 2 QBE was short term pain for long term gain. Albeit quite painful short term.

Isn't this a pretty sharkty TV deal? Last year there were televised matches on Thursdays and one on the weekends. Disappointing really.

Glad to see the back of the Thursday games. From the clubs involved perspective it must be pretty tough organising away trips knowing your squad will need the day off work, possibly two for anything near decent match preparation.

yes less games, but when you are trying to promote the league showing games in empty stadiums doesn't help. They'll get alot more value from showing Auckland City at Kiwitea Street with the 248 crew making some noise and creating atmosphere than they would had they stuck with Thursday night games at QBE

Shark yeah, we wouldn't want clubs with longstanding histories getting involved in the premier football competition in New Zealand.

Final on a Sunday as well! The Thursday night in Albany was madness for a major game.

In addition to that, newly founded Tasman United has a really sharkty logo so I'm glad the other two didn't also revamp to a sharkty new style logo.

Looking forward to seeing eastern suburbs at bill mckinley. Awesome ground. Atmosphere was also electric this year when watching Sacred heart play their home games on friday nights there. The  wooden grandstand was literally rocking at times!

Alright cos ppl r overreacting heres what i mean. Auckland City isnt called central united, hawkes bay isnt called napier city rovers etc etc. im simply saying they should sep themselves slightly as others have and perhaps call themselves some slightly different...I mean its the same name and logo so why not come up with a new logo amd franchise name. I mean the supporters will know and hardly be isolated

It'd be better if the others changed to their associated winter clubs' names IMO

Yup, I know some NCR fans who won't touch HBU because it's 'not their club'.

The more, ahem, historical clubs in the league - the better tbh. We're not bloody Australians.

Except HBU doesn't have anything to do with NCR so

ACFC pick up a keeper who's played in La Liga.

There's some cracking own goals he's been involved with, mind.

They're also playing Tim Cahill Retirement Fund F.C in Aussie.

It was pretty basic balbi. Nobody enjoys a troll or the grammar police on this forum - you're not breaking new ground.

I understand what you're trying to say and I still think it's a terrible idea.

Have you read the NZF Competitions Review document? There's a reason why it states that historical clubs should be added to the league rather than just more franchises.

Yes patrick and it hardly made the case for historic clubs to be added either.

Missing a word isn't a grammatical error, it's a syntax error.

And it was a basic argument, as in basic.

Yawn. Shall we pour through your posts and check for errors? No? Pointless? Who cares? Yup. Either construct a decent response like patrick or just fudge off

Another great signing for Auckland City. Damn. Other clubs can barely dream of signing a keeper of this calibre.

You'd hope he's better than the Spanish guy they kept selecting last season despite how bad he was.

Swings and roundabouts....

One minute he's stopping Messi and Fabregas....

Nek minnit...

And I mean nek minnit, those videos are FOUR minutes apart in the same game. I blame the defender myself.
