We played the Swamp Monkeys in our last game before taking out, I mean taking on Wednesday. Some of that Tawa psycho factor must have washed off on us.
How did we go in the first round of the cup guys? I picked up a very straightforward 7-1 win to start off.
Won 2-1 against UnElite FC, ticking off my goal of 1 win in the cup this season :)

Vs Naenae AFC in the cup today (YF league grrrrrrivals!). Got beat 3-2 last time. Lets hope home advantage gets me over the line this time!
Have a Div Two team, has some real stars then some real dodgy players too, but they all have massive routine and a strong defensive unit so I'm out of luck. A former 30-game NT player in the squad, hardly fair!

Peter Melddahl nabbing his second in the 80th minute to send it to extra time, before Norbert Armstrongand Simon Rood sealed it with goals in extra time.

Nice job, hopefully you'll get a good draw in the next round and earn a bit extra cash through gate receipts etc. My 'A' team won through to the next round to complete their goal of one win for the season. Should make the goals for & against targets and am in fairly good shape to finish top 6 - but still pretty close in my Div.
Yeah I think I'm second in my div at the moment, so I might be back in the championship next year getting pulverised by vastly superior opposition before crashing back down again! My teams a long way away from being a mid-level Championship team, although I did survive two seasons up there a while back before being relegated in the 3rd.
my nix got smashed 8-1 by an Aotearoa champs team full of 4.5-5* players.....sigh!

Remember struggling against them in the YF League, will need to pull off another upset to progress the furthest ever in the cup, but the team I beat last night was eighth in 2.4, Tawa are dead bottom, so there is hope.
Hmmm, drew Demented Flamingo's in the next round. They are top of 2.2 while I'm 2nd in 2.1 on goal difference - but they have a much better team than mine so will have to hope for an upset (and perhaps a few injuries for them in the league game on Wednesday).

Well that wasn't the best way to go out - an injury to my key midfielder, and on comes a 2.5 star DMR to play CAM. Overrun in the midfield and a late goal sees me out, 1-0.
9-0 drubbing. Still can't sit down properly.
