Did worry that'd happen. Think he was the clear choice, he has done some really good things with his club side. Did hope the vote would be a little more split than that though, and that you'd get a few more votes too.

Thanks theprof, I think reality is that no matter who we ran we were also going to come up well short against Matt's Eagles, I agree that next election will be the one to target.

An online football manager game. A bunch of us have teams in NZ and have a 4 division tournament between ourselves that play every Tuesday.
It also has international tournaments and every few seasons there are elections for the national team coach. N-Bomb ran for the role this time and came second. I ran last time round and also came in 2nd.
It's good fun and not time consuming if you choose for it not to be.

As much as I'd love to do it at some point. I don't think I could commit the time. Happy for N-Bomb to be our nominee if he wants.
I think it's a moot point as if there is a good nomination like DFC or Matt's Eagles we are unlikely to have the pulling power to get one of us in charge but I'm more than happy to try and win it and then rule by democracy - we can decide lineups here, as it'd be good to have the opinions of theprof, Tegal, and everyone else who follows the NT.
At worst, we'll finish second again, so if it's ok by everyone I'll probably accept tomorrow and we can see how we go?
You never know though, if DFC AND matts eagles are in the race, votes could split.
yeah DFC and eagles are always going to be strong but because of that they are likely to split votes - if we all vote whips (N-Bomb) then we'll put up a great fight.

And post in the NT Coaches election forum that you represent the Yellow Fever sub fan group in NZ Trophymanager, and that if any of the other players are Phoenix fans, ask them why they don't play in our yellow fever friendly league. Get campainging... get them to sign up...
I'd prefer they were on the forums as well though. Could be a handy yellow fever forum recruiter :p
My assumption was that if they join our friendly league it will be a given that they will then join the YF forums (if they are not here already) to follow and participate in the classic banter that exists in these threads...
Maybe we should do that after elections, or just in chat on one night, otherwise there'll be people claiming vote-rigging or some sort. Plus, all the guys on the forums will rip up us noobs in the Fever League!

Ok guys - the voting is open! Since we have 20 teams, some of whom can't vote, I'd love to have at least 15 votes from the YF crew, and hopefully I can pick up some votes other places too and put together at least a strong run at Matt's Eagles, who should easily waltz in.
Last year, there were 49 votes, Matt got 25, and I got 10. This time around, with only three candidates, it'll probably be way more lopsided, but if I get to 20, then we are in with a shout.
