A few milestone's after yesterday round.
In winning the title Cashmere Technical become the fastest to be decleared champions in at 21 game season - 16 rounds, previous best was Woolston Technical in 2010 after 17 rounds.
Cashmere Technical have a record 7 MPL titles - in 9 seasons (2 2nd places) next best Bays on 5, Suburbs 3, and both Nomads and Woolston Technical with two each since the MPL commenced in 2002.
Coastal Spirit joined the '300' point club from 191 games, the seventh club to reach this milestone and now joins Suburbs, Bays, Western, Nomads, Cashmere Technical and Halswell.
Christchurch United have now recorded their 50th win, from 208 games.

Dan was in the Dragon's squad last season but was injured for most of it.
Well done to Stu Kelly and the Halswell squad for being confirmed as Canterbury Championship League winner's, with two rounds to spare. So with Rangers AFC (Blenheim) not seeking promotion after being confirmed as the Nelson Bays Div 1 champs the Hawks will be back in the New World Premier League after being relegated for the last four year seasons.
Sorry for any confusion I may have caused but the winner of the Nelson Bays Div 1 title still to be confirmed with Rangers AFC - Blenheim currently 4 points clear of FC Nelson with 2 rounds to play.
A couple of milestones for Nomads yesterday, was their 300th MPL game, just the fourth game to achieve this now joining Bays - , Suburbs (both 363) and Western (349) in the 300 Club.
Nomads first goal in their 5 - 3 win over Coastal brought their 500th MPL goal, the fifth club to rack up over 500 goals - other being Bays - Suburbs (both 743), Western (556) and Cashmere Technical (545).
