First i want to say that it is areal tragedy what happened. I feel so sorry for all the families of people who had family or friends get hurt or even worse pass away.

I am however confused about all the people blaming others and saying people weren't aware of the risks. To me this is bullshark and something that happens all to much in society these days.   If you didn't know going to a volcano was risky and there is a chance it could erupt, then you probably need a brain examination any way.

Does feel a little mean bringing this up now, but i am sure the groups who have spent their lives taking people there and making it as safe as they could deserve some sympathy as well. Work-safe said they were good, so why all the blaming of them now?

surely i am not the only one that feels like this

Unplanned events happen. I have been lucky enough to be taken into and active vent by a volcanologist as he went into get samples.

It was "place your feet where I put mine" the crust is thin.

There is a level of trust, but no one can be 100% sure of outcomes. Disclaimers are signed advising risks.

But as in the tour bus crash negligence is not defend-able.

Tour bus crash causing deaths.

A very sad situation. Those three Helicopter pilots whom didn't waste any time and shot out there and brought people back are real heroes.

They are

Especially after all the movies involving helicopters crashing in eruptions due to the ash.
