Police spokesman Kraljevic Gudelj said: "It appears they were engaged in a passionate act in the bathroom where at some stage the sink broke - leaving a jagged edge that severed the woman's hand when she fell to the floor."

The hand was reattached after a six-hour operation by surgeons in the city of Split.

It's one of those situations where you can't laugh, it doesn't "rule" or "piss you off" and there is no feelgood about it, but at the same time...

(sort of like the time I saw someone wearing a Sunderland shirt in town)

I didn't realise your arm bone extended into your hand EG.

Most of us have a joint there called a wrist...

Regardless - below or above the wrist, or even through the wrist, I have a very difficult time believing that porcelain could cut through bone (even finger ones).

Board outside bratwurst place 'For the girl who doesn't have a man but <3's the sausage'...it doesn't rule, it doesn't piss me off, but it made me chuckle...much like the lady I saw towing an oil fin heater through the CBD

"Britain was the third largest buyer of human hair worldwide behind the United States and China in the period, said Alibaba.com, the only listed unit of China's Alibaba Group.

Over half of the searches were for Brazilian hair, and 29 percent for Indian hair, which has been used for decades in the production of wigs, according to one Indian human hair export website.
"

Wouldn't have thought that you could make hair extensions from Brazilians.

Not sure about this (good/bad) - but why does a black egg ball shirt cost $220 and a Nix shirt cost $140?

http://www.stuff.co.nz/oddstuff/5460696/Fathers-name-stripped-from-birth-certificate

I would be interested to find out the reasons for this and what are the definitions on a birth certificate.

Surely the biological father if known should be on the certificate (I'm talking about biological parents as opposed to actual care-givers)?

Who brings up the child is a seperate matter from conception and birth.

Could have boosted their viewership by 4,000 if they had televisions on the trains in Auckland on Friday night!

To be honest, I think even 50 million would be a pretty inflated figure - guessing it could be between 20-30 million at the very most.

So has Happy Feet become a Happy Meal?

(thought that all the hype and money spent on it was excessive and frivolous but am a bit sad that we couldn't properly repatriate it)

I just googled Dale Farm and it is only 5 miles away from where we used to live.

Clearly the neighbourhood has gone down since we left!
