Frank Carson - Stand up from the days of gigs at working mens clubs and seaside resorts.
Best remembered by people of my age for the Comedians  TV show and also TIWAS. It was pretty brave of Frank to do Tiswas, an old school stand up doing an anarchic no rules kids show, but he added his own magic to it.

Former journalist Cathy Campbell dies

Public relations company director and former television journalist Cathy Campbell has died. She was suffering from a brain tumour.

Campbell began her career in radio broadcasting before she moved to TVNZ in 1986 to be the health reporter and to front live netball coverage.

In 1989, she became the first woman to anchor a New Zealand sports show when she took the post of presenter on Sportsnight.

She is survived by her husband, TV producer Ric Salizzo, and son Carlo.
