Why does every bloody tail ender in the world always make their highest score against us?

Was thinking this too. If you're an international 8,9,10, and fancy yourself as a bit of a batsman, you'd probably spend a lot of time checking the calendar to see when the next series against Bangladesh or NZ was going to roll around. Pakistan too, as long as you were going to earn the right people some money.

Stop Out similar experience here.. internet down at work all day, finally went to another office just before I knocked off, anticipating a mad dash to the pub to watch the final session..... and no, Harbajan's got a ton

Well done the boys though, that was a credible performance.

looking forward to the next test starting today. really hoping we stay competitive and don't revert to what we all thought they would do in the first test and get beaten by an innings

And McIntosh Gets a century, good solid innings from him today more than makes up for the pair he got in the first test, well done.

Massive first session, if we dont lose more than a wicket in the first hour I think we should look to attack going into lunch.

TL007 - You probably watch more domestic cricket than anyone else given your job. Is Hopkins a better keeper/batsman than Van Dyk? Any of the others floating around better/

Do you mean Van Wyk? I'd say he probably is better than Van Wyk (if that's who you mean) but because we're forced to select two keepers (the McCullum situation) I think Hopkins a justified selection for the test team but I'd probabaly take Peter McGlashan in the one day/T20 side. He's a far better batsman towards the end of the innings imo. Van Wyk goes ok but he's probably not yet looked at seriously as he's only just becoming/become a citizen I think. Maybe in a season or so though.

This is ridiculous : Harbajhan has scored 1870 runs in 89 tests, and in this series alone has already notched up 269. Almost one 6th of his career runs have come in this series alone!

How bought Papps? He was only dropped due to being hit on the head, is in good form, is as good of a keeper as hopkins, and by far a better batsman. Only thing is we'd have to put Baz slightly down the order to accomodate him

I agree, only I know that he'll get what he wants unfortunately. this problem would not have arisen if he friggin kept in the first place, he's one of the best in the world N-Bomb2010-11-15 14:02:02

105 runs for the last wicket?!

Still, we again took 10 Indian wickets so it could have been far worse.

50 for McCullum.
He and McIntosh seem to complement each other quite well - when they actually have some time in the middle together that is.

He may not be your conventional test opener but you can't say 'no way, shape or form' if he's scoring runs there. We can't complain about who or how we get runs at the top of the order either, really.

Yeah I was sitting there saying that to myself as well (assuming you're referring to McKintosh here), but all the commentators were going on about was the catch for about 20 minutes. Frustrated me a little bit.

Haven't found the commentators too bad in general though.
