Who's had one??

I am seriously considering having one for my Subacromial Bursitis (borked shoulder) as Physio seemed to do little and any strengthening exercises and work seem to aggrovate it.

had about a bazillion in my knees over the years.

Short term fix but works for a while. If your shoulder not to bad it may give it some relief and give a chance to heal

To be honest I now think it is my best chance of getting some improvement in the shoulder as my work is quite physical in nature and offers little chance of respite.

Had knee and wrist versions. Neither aided significantly but that may have been due to the type of issue I had.

I know others who've had them and been great.

Stem Cell treatment FTW

No idea of cost and accessibility mind you

Yep, been there.

Couldn't rehab an ankle injury without being in pain so had a shot to give some relief.

I was told it could work for a couple of weeks or a couple of months, but it was enough for me to continue with the physio and get it sorted.

Had one in my foot last month. Was on pain everytime I stood/walked.

Don't have any pain now and the moon boots gone. My only regret is I didn't get it done sooner

Had one on my groin for osteitis pubis.  Freaking big needle, fairly painful, did help in the short term but the only thing that fixed it (after almost 2 years) was strengthening exercises.

Nah it's actually not that bad, other than the fact that it takes AGES to heal.  I was playing at a decent level overseas at the time and I had free physio/treatment etc, but that didn't do much.  Took 2 years to heal in the end.  Derek Young (former TW physio and I think he was at Wakefield Hospital IIRC) gave me some really good exercises with really helped.

The test results in the studies on this have been remarkable, FYI.

NZ is actually at the forefront of this technology and is one of the only countries in the world where you can access this type of treatment, apparently.

Panama is leading the way, tons of clinics down there, Americans are going in droves. Joe Rogan did a podcast with Mel Gibson of all people, he bought along a doctor from a Panama clinic, it was extremely interesting.

This technology is going to revolutionise a lot of types of treatment in my opinion.

Had cortisone injections in my knee years ago to relieve damaged cartilage... as always with needles, doctors warn of (tiny) chance of causing infection, and I drew the short straw as it caused a massive infection in my knee joint, and the cortisone prevented my body's natural defenses from fighting it... nearly had my leg amputated, but after 3 surgeries all was fine... subsequently back playing footy & running etc.
TLDR: make sure the doctor takes all precautions they can to prevent infection!
