VM: I have heard very strong suggestions that a commercial TV network (Channel 7) is very interested in jagging the A-League hosting rights from 2017. Obviously SBS has been doing a fantastic job and Fox Sports has been ground breaking in terms on covering the competition when it was a dream in 2005. What can you see happening for future TV rights?
DG: It’s fair to say we’ll have a lot of interest from a number of commercial networks next time the media rights come up for grabs. We’ve already seen Channel 7 have had a good experience around the All Stars game in the last couple of years. And along with SBS moving onto Friday nights on SBS ONE it augurs well for the next round of rights.
