He seems to be doing well in the NSWPL, but its a big step up to the A-League. Every golden boot winner since 2006 has had a chance to play in the A-League and none have made it. I would feel a bit more confident if he was doing it in the VPL, there seems to be many more A-League players come from there.

Marconi Stallions 0 APIA-Leichhardt Tigers 5 - Waratah Cup Quater final

Both Bevin & Galbraith played, with Galbraith picking up a brace.

APIA made their intentions known in the 6’ minute when Ethan Gailbraith headed the ball just over the bar off a corner.

Marconi looked to have avoided danger in the 26’ minute when Ethan Gailbraith’s shot was cleared out of the Stallions box, but the ball was crossed back in and the unmarked striker tucked the ball neatly past Marconi goalkeeper Andrew Mercuri.

Marconi’s Nahuel Arrarte and APIA’s Ethan Gailbraith exchanged words and a few shoves in the 28’ minute, with the pair lucky to avoid a booking from referee Kris Griffith-Jones.

APIA’s Andrew Bevin was given too much space in the box in the 44’ minute and his shot was stopped by the woodwork.

Marconi’s Ali Haydar was lucky to stay on the pitch when he pushed Andrew Bevin just outside his own area.  D’Apuzzo’s free kick found Gailbraith who slotted the ball into the back of the net in the 73’ minute.
Galbraith didn't even make the bench after his midweek heroics. Wonder if he was rested/hurt.
A minute later Kiwi winger Bevin salvaged one for the Tigers. A long range effort was deflected off Saliadarre into Bevin’s path. He poked it in and ran the ball straight back to the halfway line.

From the NSWPL webby:

Andy Bevin
APIA Leichhardt Tigers
Goals: 6 [1p]
GP: 10

http://www.nswpl.com.au/index.php?id=562

This will be from before this weekends game, so that will be 7 goals in 11 games. He is currently 3rd, 4 goals behind Robbie Younis (ex Adelaide United) in the golden boot race.

[Edit: That is NSWPL appearances, he will have some Warratah Cup appearances. Not sure if he scored in any of those games]

Had a look thru the match reports for Galbraith & Appiah-Kubi's stats also.

Galbraith - 5 NSWPL games, 0 goals. But he has picked up a few in Warratah Cup games.

Appiah-Kubi - 9 NSWPL games, 6 goals. And spotted this article about him.

Bevin & Galbraith played in a 2-0 loss for APIA against Marconi.

In the 53’ minute APIA-Leichhardt’s best chance fell to the tall Ethan Galbraith who was perfectly positioned to flick on a header after receiving a cross from the right flank, but sadly for the Tigers he was marginally off target.

I would suspect so. Tom Biss has moved back from Perth about a week ago so would think others are in the process too. Although Fenton already has family etc here so may not need as much time to get himself set up.

Seems it was actually 2 yellow cards for Galbraith's sending off. He will now miss the Waratah Cup final. Bevin played the full 90m and Galbraith came off the bench in the 59th minute.

Down on confidence following an inconsistent run of results in the League, it was Kiwi import Ethan Gailbraith – on as a second-half substitute - who stole the headlines with a sensational second-half double to cancel out Robbie Younis’ 25’ minute penalty.

Gailbraith’s second was an absolute screamer, as the lanky striker showed skill and a powerful shot to leave the White Eagles’ supporters in complete silence. Unfortunately for the two goal hero, he was to turn villain in the final minute of injury-time as he picked up a second yellow card and will consequently be out of the Cup Final next weekend.
APIA-Leichhardt responded with a set-piece from the right as Andrew Bevin got his first look-in for the match with an attempted header that finished off the mark.
APIA-Leichhardt substitute Ethan Gailbraith attempted to get his side moving in the right direction with a mazy run on 70’ minutes, though the tall striker weaved his way into some trouble as the Bonnyrigg defenders shut down his run.

APIA-Leichhardt’s possession in midfield, and persistence, finally did pay off in the 78’ minute as Gailbraith drew the visitors level. A pin-point delivery from Stephen Kayes on the right was powerfully headed home by the Kiwi import, leaving Bazi helpless.

Gailbraith became the Tigers’ hero with 5’ minutes remaining as he found a stunning winner for his side. The striker showed poise on the ball to turn his marker and enter the penalty-area before blasting a venomous drive into the back of the net.

With the momentum completely in favour of the Tigers, Gailbraith uncharacteristically saw his near perfect evening turned on its head. Deep into injury-time, the striker kicked the ball away to buy some time for his side and was correctly shown his second yellow card for his efforts.

The sending off is a huge blow for the striker and the Tigers who will be without their front man for the Waratah Cup Final showdown against Sutherland Sharks.

APIA-Leichhardt’s response arrived via a set-piece on 4’ minutes. Adam D’Apuzzo’s centre was partially cleared by the Sharks defenders, though Andrew Bevin’s first-time shot failed to cause Nathan Denham any concern.

The Tigers continued to press with Michael Hawrysiuk and Bevin combining on the right to release the former on goal. The APIA-Leichhardt number 16 played a powerful low-driven cross into the penalty-area though the ever impressive Souris was on hand to thwart any danger.
12.Andrew Bevin – 6 – Usually a lively performer, Bevin was well contained by the experience of George Souris and found little space on the pitch. When he did find space he did well to hold up the ball and provide opportunity for his colleagues, however was largely ineffectual overall before being substituted for Brad Bartels in the second half

Gailbraith was a constant menace up front for the visiting side and his movement behind was proving difficult to deal with for the Sydney United defence.

Gailbraith continued to threaten and only the offside flag prevented him from racing on to a through ball from Stephen Kayes in the 29’ minute, as APIA looked the more threatening side in the final third.

The hard running Gailbraith was proving to be a worthy outlet as the Tigers counter-attacked with panache, with D'Apuzzo, Hawyrsiuk and Bartels all heavily involved.

Adam D'Apuzzo was proving a constant threat to the Sydney United defence and he again released Gailbraith down the inside right channel, though he was helped by a slip from Mitchell Stamatellis. Cutting back on to his left foot, Gailbraith could only shoot tamely at Kolak.

Kolak was found wanting in the 70’ minute when he failed to get his fists to an attempted punched clearance, but Gailbraith headed over the bar.

Just minutes later though, APIA Leichhardt went back ahead in what was turning into a classic match. APIA were readying Grade 20s hotshot Nick Taneski to be introduced in place of Gailbraith, when the visitors were awarded a free-kick.

Gailbraith signalled to the bench to hold the substitution so that he could take the free-kick, and he duly delivered, sending a gem of a strike past Kolak and in off the post to restore APIA's one goal lead. The striker celebrated with the bench before taking his seat on it, as Taneski was introduced.

In the 71’ minute APIA scored their third in a classic counterattacking move. A nice route-one ball from Re Lee made its way to Ethan Galbraith who then danced around the goalkeeper and scored with a good finish.
