Anyone want to guess the starting line ups?

Dida - Oddo Nesta Maldini Jankulovski - Pirlo Gattuso Seedorf Ambrosini - Kaka - Gilardino

Reina - Finnan Carragher Agger Riise - Sissoko Mascherano Gerrard Pennant - Kuyt Crouch

Hard to pick Liverpool team, Rafa's hard to read, I think Sissoko is needed to track Kaka'. Pennant to expose space behind Jankulovski. Kewell may start like last time, instead of Crouch.

AC MILAN TO SMASH LIVERPOOL 4-1 AND THEY CAN THEN TRY AND WIN THE PREMIERSHIP WHICH THEY HAVE NOT  DONE IN ALMOST 20 YEARS !! YES TWENTY YEARS -  OOPS- THEY ONLY COMPETE FOR "CUPS THESE DAYS" SO THE PREMIERSHIP IS OUT OF THE QUESTION

Lol....I guess you support Chelsea then? Yes they haven't won the premiership in that long, and it's something they always try and win, but yes we have had more success in the Cups for sure, at least we have the History (which no amount of money can buy......) and the best Fans in the world.....

What a crock! History no amount of money can buy - some American just bought you and your history and your self proclaimed best fans in the world for a couple of hundred million.

Man talk about frustrating (if you are a liverpool fan) - Crouch should have been on way earlier to lay off the crosses ..... and Gerard was average with his poor touchs and why did Benitiz make his subs too late - surely he needed to realise the game needed change but just kept on keeping on with same old same old....

Liverpools last goal was offsides...

You must have missed the defender still glued to the post - not offside.

And let's not get into the fact that Inzaghi's first went in off his arm.

Just heard some noises from below my work - a small group of Liv supporters (the main culprit with dyed red hair) singing You'll Never Walk Alone. Hammered. And I am 14 stories up! Goodstuff

Bad game by liverpool..Created alot of space, Pennant was dangerous but the finishing from Gerard and zenden was terrible..Zenden had a terrible game all his crosses hit defenders. Benitez should ave brought on Crouch and kewell earlier..Had alot of ball in the first half..should ave turned them into goals, this seems to be the major problem for Liverpool..they can control alot of ball for most of the game but their finishing always lets them down..a better team with that much possesion would ave capitalised.

Very average game from Milan, Kaka didn't see much ball but when he did he looked dangerous...Most of the time Milan kept the ball with the back four, smart playing to kull the momentum of liverpool...But even with Milan playing average they still beat Liverpool. which goes to show..Liverpool got nothing on Milan!

When the dust settles we will acknowledge that the best teams did not make the final.  Both teams did very well to get that far and they deserve great credit for guts at times and coming back from difficult situations on the way through.  Like the FA Cup Final we had two teams tired and not at their best.

I did not feel Liverpool were going to make it this time and so it proved.  But 2-1 is not a disaster either.

After watching this mornings game, it is hard not to pick BM winning this easily.

On todays performance no one will come near them.

I've been a fan of the Bundesliga for a while but these 2 results have stunned me. WOW!

I've posted elsewhere that Guardiola's move would bring even more focus to it, but there are so many good news stories coming out of Germany these days - fan-ownership models, affordable ticketing and terraces like Dortmund's, the strongest economy in Europe.

If the Rojas to Stuttgart rumour is true than thousands of Kiwis will be following it.

I understand that, but you are always predicting results so it will be interesting to see. I won't comment about Dortmund as I forgot to set the alarm this morning, so hopefully will see the replay later.

If anything, the one goal that Real scored flatters them. They were unable to create their own chances for large periods of the game, Dortmund were just absolutely dominant in both defence and attack. The second and third goals were incredible, the kind of thing that we would expect Messi to do.

Fair enough but i would give Dortmund a chance against Bayern whether they smashed Real over two legs or snuck through on penalties. Dortmund have stood up to Bayern over the past 2-3 seasons and although Bayern have comfortably won the league this year i still believe Dortmund are able to beat them.

Also think Dortmund have a better chance of challenging Bayern than Real, if Dortmund do progress (which they should)

Interesting, I read something not long ago that Mourinho said that Real M deserved to win the CL.
Wonder what he is thinking now.
I know it is not impossible, but it is a pretty safe bet that the two Spanish clubs are gone.

If Bayern can score one goal they will confirm a spot in the final, there's no way Barca are going to score 6. That away goal for Real could prove vital, because a 3-0 win at home isn't out of the question. It would be unlikely, but very much still possible, for Real to make it. Can't see Barca making the final though.

How can you get to watch Dortmund in NZ? It's difficult to find stuff on the web. Be great to have sky get some dedicated Bundesliga coverage- specially if Marco gets involved, but anyway.

Yeah a couple of tense moments near the end when Real almost nicked a second. Would've completely (and undeservedly) changed the tie. BD looked great, the terrace looks amazing, 3 Polish players and wearing the Nix kit, boom!
