Iniesta really is godlike.
Agreed. What Barca really need is dose of Big Sam, or maybe Tony Pulis
Barcelona Really In the Red
Latest audit shows super club Barcelona are 442 million Euros in debt and lost 77 million Euros last year. See Reuters report http://af.reuters.com/article/sportsNews/idAFJOE66Q0H720100727
Even worse "20 clubs in La Liga had combined debt of 3.526 billion euros".
The price of quality!!!
Not surprised aren't all the Spanish teams in debt
There's a whole sh*tload of clubs in Europe in massive debt.
That's where all the massive transfer fees and inflated wages have taken them too.

77million euros a year thats unstainable
couldnt find a barcelona thread but this one seemed appropriate
hercules 2 barca 0
is anyone not in debt?
Isnt there new champions league rules coming, whereby they won't allow you into the competition if you have spent more than your incomings over the previous year?

At our current rate of profitablility we should pay off the stadium early, thereby saving an extra 20 million in interest over the term of the loan.
Man united have to pa ysomething like 46 million in interest on its depts.. per annum, before they make a dent in the principal.
arsenal got a mortgage to buy our stadium
thats our only debt and its being paid ahead of time as UG points out
the debts being referred to in this thread are not these types of debts......

Liverpool's must be down about 200m ish...?
Iniesta plans to tame the bankers. He's been warming up on bears.
Iniesta really is godlike.
So much this. Absolute hero
Barcelona fail to win this week - the cracks are starting to show! Probably only a couple of weeks until the club collapses entirely.
How come there is a German club in the Red - I thought you got booted out of the Bundesliga if you were in debt?
Germany does have financial fair play type rules, but they're not quite "no debt, ever" stipulations. I think Shalke's debt came from building the Veltins-Arena at the turn of the century, which is within the Bundesliga's requirements.
Though we are off-topic. This thread is meant to be about wild speculation and overstatement about the inevitable collapse of Barcelona.
I can't see Barca collapsing within weeks but hopefully they do before their next game vs Arsenal.
Looks like he's learning from the Special One.
