Yellow Fever English Football picks 2019/20

Ok, so ronniemac calculated the scenario if Brumbys, Youngheart and Buffon are all removed from the team standings, and it looks like this;

Compared to the actual standings, with those 3 still in it;

Bit of a difference there. Arsenal and ManU both boosted fairly substantially.

How do people feel about this? Is it really fair?

The alternative is we leave them in, but they will log 0's for the remainder, so ManU and Arsenal will slowly slip into oblivion.

Would run a poll if I could. Perhaps when you make your next pics, give your opinion on this at the same time?

On players leaving: neither situation is fair. If there was money riding on it, I'd say the players that have left should all be given 0s for the rest of the season. Given the team part is a "fun" event, then remove the players who said they cannot play.

Could you work out what their average is for the picks they made until they stopped picking and use that to calculate it?

so if they averaged 15 keep that to the team score?

happy with whatever decision is made and agree that no matter what you decide its probably going to be "unfair" on ne group or another. I like the idea (if possible) of taking the average score of those who cannot make it any more and using that going forward until the end of for them. This should remove any unfair advantage to any team.

Ok looks like we have 3 options to resolve this situation:

1) Leave it

2) Remove the 3 who have dropped out from the records entirely, resulting in large bumps for ManU and Arsenal Teams in the standings

3) Work out the average for each at the point they dropped out, and apply that to the remaining weeks

To me, Option 3 is a pretty good idea, and seems to have some support in the comments above.

Any objections to going down that path?

FYI, I will post the latest results as is, to give myself a little time to tidy it all up. I'll aim to have it updated and accurate for when I post the Round 29 results (this sentence is mainly for Leggy, so he can chase me up if/when I don't deliver on it :)
