I think we can all safely say that the title race is down to 4 teams, but who will take it out?

The table now

                       p      pts     GD

1.Chelsea     30      66       33

2.Liverpool   29      62       41

3.Arsenal     29       62      25

4.Man City   27       60      44

So Man city is in the box seat in points having 3 games in hand and a vastly superior goal difference

The run in

Chelsea

Arsenal (H)

Palace (A)

Stoke (H)

Swansea (A)

Sunderland (H)

Liverpool (A)

Norwich (H)

Cardiff (A)

The Arsenal and Liverpool games stand out here. You would think they would get a result at home against Arsenal but Liverpool is a tough one being away from home.

Liverpool

Cardiff (A)

Sunderland (H)

Spurs (H)

West Ham (A)

Man City (H)

Norwich (A)

Chelsea (H)

Palace (A)

Newcastle (H)

Man City and Chelsea stand out, to a lesser extent Tottenham also. The thing with these games is that they are at home and they are almost impossible to beat at home. A big question mark remains about their away form though.

Arsenal

Chelsea (A)

Swansea (H)

Man City (H)

Everton (A)

West Ham (H)

Hull (A)

Newcastle (H)

West Brom (H)

Norwich (A)

The next 4 weeks will be very important for there hopes. Win all four and they are a great shot at the title, but lose even one and they will be in big trouble. Some big fixtures. I think the Chelsea game will show us where they really stand.

Man City

Fulham (H)

Man Utd (A)

Arsenal (A)

Southampton (H)

Liverpool (A)

Sunderland (H)

West Brom (H)

Palace (A)

Everton (A)

Aston Villa (H)

West Ham (H)

Again some very hard games in there. They have the games in hand to win the tittle but they will come up against 2 of the top 4 Away from home and also have the Manchester derby which wont be easy. Probably the hardest run in

Odds

City 2.30

Chelsea 2.87

Liverpool 4.33

Arsenal 13

Who are you picking to win?

Think Chelsea will do it but obviously hope I'm wrong, although I do stand to profit if they or City do go all the way.

Based on those games remaining, I'd have to say Liverpool. I hope I'm wrong.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone figured out when all the catch up games will be finished, i.e. when each team will have played the same number of games?

Yea with that run in, surely its down to a 2 team race, Chelsea and Man city. with probably chelsea having it slightly eaiser. Who ever is on top (assuming they have all played the same amount of games) at the 3rd to last weekend would surely take it out.

Just at a quick glance, out of the four I'd say that Liverpool and Arsenal have the hardest draws (and the thinnest squads)

Looking that the fixtures I don't think you can pick any team at this stage. There is a chance of upsets. Utd have been beaten by all the teams above them except Arsenal. City on the other hand have lost to teams at the bottom. Too difficult to predict.

It is too early to call it. As much as I am believing in my Arsenal lads to do it, the same could be said about any of those teams. I think Chelsea are at a disadvantage given they're still in the champions league, and Arsenal's FA Cup (hopefully 2 matches) will be a slight distraction.

FA Cup would be after the end of the season right?? But yes still beleive Gunners can do it, winning this weekend will be huge. A couple of injuries or suspensions could changes things very dramatically for all the teams. regardless of who takes it out it will be a very exciting end ot the season.

anyone but Chelsea, i hate Jose :)

Don't forget any team in a relegation battle is always a chance of an upset in the latter part of the season. Always a few every season.

Arsenal can still win it (even though they won't) so how can Chelsea be written off?

Ah i get it, Mourinho said they can't win the title so the Chelsea sheeple fans have taken his word as gospel. Fucking brain dead fans.

Sorry but what a load of crap. Typical Mourhino guff, Chelsea still have 6 matches to play and Arsenal, Liverpool and City can still screw up. OK City have an impressive record this season but they've drawn a few times.

Look at the form Chelsea are in. The fixtures left. Champions league. They CAN still win but are realistically out of it

Chelsea can not be in bad form one week after beating Arsenal 6-0, surely?
Even if Arsenal, combined with Theo Walcott getting sent off, helped the blues out.

6 games played in March, 4 wins, 2 losses (5 EPL, 1 UCL) - goals scored 15, against 3. Even taking the 6 goals against Arsenal out of the equation, that's impressive. 9 out of 15 possible points.

10 points out of 12 in February, including a win against Manchester City (losing to them later in the FA cup). Same points, 10 out of 12 in January, with a win against United, dropped points a draw with Westham.

That's 29 out of 39, basically 75% of points available in the last 3 months in the prem. That is really good.

Basically, by telling you something you probably already know, I am just trying to reiterate that Chelsea really aren't in bad form. 2 losses in March, with a 6-0 thrashing of a title rival in between isn't bad form. It's bad focus by the team. 2 losses on the trot, that could be seen differently but these seem to be isolated events.

I digress. Chelsea aren't out of the title race, until it's mathematically impossible. This run-in is going to be exciting.

Bump. Its interesting to read everyones predictions from less than a month ago on page one. I'm still sticking with Liverpool but it is a two horse race now and the Liverpool v Chelsea game will be the big decider.

City win tonight at home against Sunderland, which they should, they'll be four points off the lead with a game in hand and the best GD. If Mourinho engineers a result like he did away to the other big four teams (Arsenal 0-0, City 0-1) then City are well in it.

Liverpools attitude should be, "We will fight them on the  beaches, we will fight them in the fields...." or whatever Churchill's speech was that inspired such a magnificant resistance.
