I know MOTD largely ignored it but Dwight Gayle's winner for rapidly improving Crystal Palace against Aston Villa was surely a contender for goal of the season. Tony Pulis has finally got the Eagles firing on all cylinders with Australian-Croatian Mile Jedinak really commanding the midfield. I think survival is assured if they keep playing the way they are - three wins in last five. The win over faltering West Ham was the turning point. It's noticeable how many games the East End wideboys have lost since Winston Reid's injury absence. Lets hope his rumoured move to Arsenal comes off.
In the meantime if you see someone with a smile on their face they could be a fellow Palace fan. After years in the doldrums and administration it's a pleasure to be back in the Premiership and winning games. Palace are not going to be top six but survival would be a real achievement, particularly after such a tough start back in the top flight.
