PTV Official Club Message Boards
How many of you fans visit your "other" club sites on a daily basis
to see what's happening and to message your mates etc on the club's
official message board, proudly supplied by PTV?
Does yours suck as much as the new QPR one? They lost over 200
regular uses in less than 3 days! We found a link still working to
our old MB and still use it until PTV pull the plug on or around
the 10th of August.
We just celebrated out 750,000th message on there. Most QPR
fans took off to
fans.net
Apprently acccording to a source within PTV, i was the only
fan to register a complaint with them and with the Football League
whom had a BIG say in how awful....errrr how the new sites and
messageboards looked.
What are you views on the new look club sites?
Whats PTV? And I know the guy that runs qprfans.net, hes a good
lad.
PTV - Premium Television. They have the sole rights to the football
league clubs websites & message boards.
I know Danny & Steve too.
We run our main message board on the mad string of sites - but Im trying to get more fans over to youpies.co.uk, run by the fans for the fans not run by a business. There seems to be members split between 3 message boards now for notts
same with us.
fans.net is what the official club site should have looked
like, the new official one sucks big time.
Check this out..so far the club have avoided PTV,so shhhhhhh.
Damm good site.
Our official site is ptfc.co.uk, but I normally log into ptfc.net
which is the bigggest, and best, of the Thistle fan sites. Got a
good forum too!
Official sites are always a drag. . . . Fans run sites are
the shiz
The previous version of the PTV "official sites" wasn't too bad,
tidy, easy to navigate and a lot less intrusive. This new version
that everyone is getting saddled with is"in your face' with adverts
etc. One work around on the new message boards is to "right click"
and choose "open in a new window". Our old "official" MB closes in
the next 3 or 4 days. Users based in London are thinking of having
a "wake" of rememberance.
It's a shame because there was a hard core of international
& local users on there. It will all be gone, we'd all known
each other for the 7 years since PTV took over from "Planet" in
running the site. Someone needs to be held accountable.
