Thought I would start a quiz to test you all out. Feel free to contribute as this could be a good way for building up ones trivia skills.

What do Leicester City, Arsenal and QPR have in common? (Hint: you will probably have to be over 30 to know this one)

None of them have won the European Cup

All of them don't have the word Manchester in their respective names

Obafemi Martins did not play for these clubs

The closest thing I could work out is such a tenuous link that it can't be right...

Something to do with Frank McLintock. Did he captain all three teams?

He did indeed. Whilst only Captaining QPR on a few occassions he was certainly an unofficial Captain with Gerry Francis being the main man. An excellent CB that played for Scotland and won so many honours with his clubs - except QPR when they came 2nd behind the scousers.

I have his autobiography True Grit. He actually had a quite bad record early in his career. He lost the 61 and 63 FA Cup finals with Leicester and then the 68 and 69 League Cup Finals with Arsenal. He thought he would never win a cup final until Arsenal won the 70 European Fairs Cup and then the double in 1971. Just when he thought his losing ways were behind him, Arsenal went and lost the 72 FA Cup Final. It's no wonder that QPR ended up 2nd in 76 really with his record :)

Nah that was because of a truely guttless performance by Wolves - letting the Reds score 3 times in the last 15 minutes. anyway, Anyone else got a question for us to figure out? Something like how many players whilst playing with the one club have played in all 4 divisions (Includes the revampled EPL from Div 1)?? I don't know the answer off hand but can have a guess at the club - possibly Luton or Watford or  Oldham or Barnsley.

Billy Rodaway and Joe Jakub played in all four divisions for Burnley.

However, neither was in a continuous spell with the club (ie, they both left and came back to finish the job - during the downward spiral of mid 70s to mid/late 80s).
