10 Reasons why Chelsea will win back the title
Trialist

·

·

1. Petr Cech - He won't break his head again and with him in goal teams rarely score
2. Defensive cover - Now JT and Ricky have some decent back up we won't have the situation of Essien playing at the back
3. Frank Lampard - love him or hate him, the lad scores goals
4. Drog + Sheva - Drogba has stopped falling over and Sheva will get better between them they will score 50+ goals
5. Joe Cole - the kid is class and won't be injured again this season
6. Red Nose - Fergie might of had some luck last year, but rent boy Ronaldo will be back in jail following another ill advised session on Canal street
7. Liverpool - They are rubbish in the league as they don't know how to win at Portsmouth and even with all their signings (who is trying to buy the league now??? ahem) they don't like cold and will out of the race by the new year
8. Arsenal - Although they have a lot of talent, it will be more of the same with Henry Henry - but he is still a gunner, tanning in up in spain.
9. Jose - the special one - enough said
10. Rooney - after what he did, the boy is destined to be a big fat pie eater - this year will mark the start of his demise.

Outstanding post Stalakos.

I agree with you 100%.  Although number 11 & 12 could be that our free transfer signings have been brilliant and we will certainly land another quality name - Malouda for example....

Caaaaarefree, wherever we may be......

Good to hear from another blue...

it seems very red around here.

People tend to forget that chelsea have a real english core and that matters in the Premier League.  I also expect them to score more goals this season, with Robben, Joe Cole, Sheva and Drog all being fit again.

That's why you have player like ballack, Joe Cole, Sheva, Robben - plus Jose will buy in Jan to cover two of those players.  It's better than having JT, and Cech out for most of the season.

It's going to be a two horse race. - Liverpool will struggle again, Tores (worth 27 million???)  will take time to adjust and lets just see how much he likes playing in Jan and Feb up there... be a little colder than what he is used too.

Last time I checked Portsmouth are a good team. Chelsea lost to Middlesbrough last season and they're a worse team.

On buying the league, Liverpool have spent how much in recent seasons?. Chelsea have spent how much in recent seasons? Liverpool have spent a fraction on transfers compared to Chelsea. If your looking for a team trying to buy success that's West ham. What about Tottenham they keep spending more and more, why aren't they buying success

Liverpool, Man U, and Arsenal have to spend more because they can't keep up with Chelsea buying up everyone for inflated prices.

stalakos wrote:
1. Petr Cech - He won't break his head again and with him in goal teams rarely score there are many more injuries than a 'broken head'.  What if he pulls his hamstring?  breaks a finger?  Great keeper, but not immune to injuries like any other player.
2. Defensive cover - Now JT and Ricky have some decent back up we won't have the situation of Essien playing at the back who is to say that the backup won't be as successful as Boulahrouz?
3. Frank Lampard - love him or hate him, the lad scores goals I hate him  I'll leave it at that.
4. Drog + Sheva - Drogba has stopped falling over and Sheva will get better between them they will score 50+ goals big call.  Personally I don't think that Sheva will be any better this season, and if they lose the diving drog, they will struggle to get the required goals.
5. Joe Cole - the kid is class and won't be injured again this season good player (with the worlds worst step-over) but I am not sure of your conviction that players will not get injured?
6. Red Nose - Fergie might of had some luck last year, but rent boy Ronaldo will be back in jail following another ill advised session on Canal street stupid comment.
7. Liverpool - They are rubbish in the league as they don't know how to win at Portsmouth and even with all their signings (who is trying to buy the league now??? ahem) they don't like cold and will out of the race by the new year stupid comment.
8. Arsenal - Although they have a lot of talent, it will be more of the same with Henry Henry - but he is still a gunner, tanning in up in spain. Aresenal won't win this season.  Still a stupid comment, though.
9. Jose - the special one - enough said His power is being diminished at Chelscum - how will he handle that?
10. Rooney - after what he did, the boy is destined to be a big fat pie eater - this year will mark the start of his demise. Are we talking about Lumpolard or Rooney?

I think that puts the whole issue to bed.  Sunderland to win the premiership.

My point is Liverpool will continue to finish 10-12 points (30 odd two years ago) behind Chelsea + Man u because the don't win the not so flashy away games - its all ok if it's Barca or Man U then they step up, but 3 points away at West Ham is the same as 3 points at Old Trafford.

Buying the league talk is boring - yes Chelsea spent loads and they made some crap buys and paid over the odds more often than not... but if everyone knows you have more money than the rest of the league put together then that's bound to happen.

In the end 11 guys need to step up for 38 games and win it.  Money helps granted but it does not guarantee success - a point you made so well with spurs.

Wouldn't say Spurs broke the bank getting Lennon 1 mill, Berbatov 10 mill

Compare to wright phillips 22 mill and ridiculous money for sh*tchenko.
Spurs had 2 best finishes in there prem history past 2 seasons, good cup runs and are on the up!
We don't have the funds to buy success instantly like Chelsea at least our buys are performing.
With Darren Bent signing there will be silverware this season. We more of a threat now than the Henry-less scum.
Obviously money doesn't buy success it bought the carling cup

Spurs would take that wouldn't they?

Bent is a good buy... 16.5 million, when Henry is worth 16.1 million.  It will cost you at least 2 million a goal.

then again Sheva cost 4 million a goal - but there is one goal that made it all worth while!!!!

Why waste your time Stalakos giving 10 reasons why Chelsea will win the league

You only need one: money
Truth hurts for Chelseas fans knowing their recent success is built on dirty russian money.
While you have bought the league, you still f##king out in europe to Great clubs built on success and tradition like Liverpool.
Still got a while to you catch spurs 8 fa cups
Chelski can't buy respect or tradition.

Well, as far as I am aware, Liverpool haven't really signed anyone yet.  Torres seems pretty close to happening, and they are after some wingers, but so far (from what I have read) they have only signed a few 18 year olds for the future.

Therefore, it seems pretty stupid to say that they don't like the cold, and will be out of the race by the new year, when you do know who their squad will comprise of.  If they sign 9 polar beers and the entire Chelscum squad.........those comments will look even more idiotic than they do at the moment.

Before Abramovich took over you had the title of worst fans in London, and that says alot, considering you had wimbledon and millwall in the same city. Since then, your ticket prices skyrocketed, and your fans turned into fairweather ponces (let the flame begin )

I'm not sure what you mean by "worst fans"?

worst fans for not turning up = Wimbledon (when they existed)
worst fans for violence = Millwall

worst fans for being rent boys = Chelsea
worst fans for crawling out of the woodwork when they get half decent = Chelsea
worst fans for creating an atmosphere = Chelsea and Arsenal can share this one

The prices were pretty steep before Roman arrived thanks very much..

now correct me if I am wrong but don't the Arsenal have the highest ticket price in London now?
Some might say their prices are such so that they can recoup some of the money "lost" in the transfer market recently.

I agree Chelsea MAY win the title this year but it will be close. I agree that with Cech regularly in goal you may be able to win the league but your predictions about the other contenders are sh*t.

Jose probably does know a couple of things about football, after all he has won everything there is to win in English football, Portuguese football oh and that European Cup thing as well.

Deluded he might be, but he is entertaining he has brought some colour back to the premiership.  If you hate him then he is doing his job well.

The way I see it, the more other teams fans hate your team the better you are.

The league never lies my friend.  There is no where to hide after 38 games

At least this year there are no liverpool excuses for not having money to spend like tubby has done in previous years.

I look forward to a much tighter race this year
