'It was all yellow...'

Hello, first time thread poster on YF and I was wondering whether Coldplay's song 'Yellow' could be reworked as a chant..

I'm thinking the verses would work.

I am all for trying new chants.

How do you think it would go? Can you post up the original lyrics along with what you think might make a good chant so people can comment?

It also really helps if you find the song on YouTube, and post the link to the YouTube clip here (You have to remember to press [ENTER] after the url to make it display as an embedded YouTube clip in the YF forums). That helps people who don't know the tune off by heart to get an idea of how it is supposed to go.

Hi bwtcf, sorry, I posted this on the YF app and I was kinda in a rush, but here you go.

Lyrics:

So then I took my turn,

And it was all yellow.

My very rough draft of an interpretation:

"Look at our stars,
Look how they shine past you,
And everything you do,
Yeah, and they wear, yellow.

We came along,
We wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called "Yellow".

Your skills,
Oh yeah your skills and touch,
Turn into
Something beautiful,
You know,
Phoenix we love you so,
Phoenix we love you so."

Then everyone could possibly just sing the guitar solo thing, which I think could get some interesting results..

We could possibly get rid of one of the verses, but hmm.... You can kind of get the jist of what it could be like.

Prob a bit slow for an easy chant to get going IMO. Good effort though.
