Seems odd to me considering the NZ teams have won the champions league every year this decade and have been the runners up as well for most of them.

It's obvious that the list is crap, in fact if you believe this Ljujic is slumming it down in the A-League at 75 when he was in the A Lyga at 54.
Also, Portugal ranked below Greece, Cyprus, and Israely leagues. USA equal with Lithuania, etc.

so effectively because the ISPS teams don't play in the Chatham Cup NZ loses points and Tahiti gets named the top league!
Given the OCL final has been between 2 NZ teams for the last 3 years shows how good these rankings are

Yes it is odd, agree, that ranking is rubbish, just as the FIFA country ranking as mentioned above.
Speaking of FIFA ranking (sorry, slightly off topic, but just an idea) - it would be interesting to use our combined knowledge of the football on different continents to try and find the actual/realistic ranking of New Zealand and ignore the FIFA nonsense. Obviously, people would have different opinions on the matter, but still could be fun.
For example, I doubt NZ could be ranked above any of the South American countries, but clearly NZ would be better than quite a few smaller European countries etc...
That league ranking list is one of the worst things I have ever seen associated with football.
There is absolutely no chance in hell that the Colombian league is stronger than the Bundesliga. In fact apart from the top 2 the list is just a complete mess and an absolute nonsense throughout.

This one has been fairly hectic, especially with regard to transfers between clubs.
Not sure NZF has ever really made a regular effort to highlight them, and when they have, they've often missed a few.
There have been a couple of higher profile ones this time and also the clubs are alot more proactive at promoting new signings than they used to be

Wouldn't it be a good move to expand the teams that play the playoffs from 4 to 6 and have a system exactly like the A-League? I know this season the top four have been way better than the rest but it would give the bottom teams something to play besides trying to avoid the spoon. There are two rounds left and 5 teams (Tasman, Southern, Waitakere, Hawke's Bay and WeeNix) have nothing to play for. It wouldn't add that many game anyways, just two.
I guess the reason why this is not implemented is because WeeNix can't qualify for the playoffs so that would leave 6 places for 9 teams, which is quite a lot. I don't know, was just wondering if it would be a good idea or not

No way. There's a clear top four this season though, with five points separating them. Then there's a big nine point jump back to fifth. Can't see why they deserve to be in the running for the playoffs, just to give them something to play off.
I'm very old fashioned too and have never been a huge fan of the minor/gran final type thing. I must admit though that for less established leagues (incl HAL) this is a good way to generate extra interest and provide more teams the chance of silverware which renders the competition more exciting as a whole.

The A-League should change to the Handy Prem system, not the other way around.

As with the recent (and ongoing) events A-league Wanderers active supporters ripping up flares and smokeys, what does anyone think about this in NZ football circles. I'm all for active support but also for safety and I've seen photos of Waiheke ultras doing stuff like that though not sure if its safe or not. If NZF wants to instill tribalism in the National League is it acceptable to do this kind of stuff and is there any awareness of safety for supporters if this happens?
