Another home defeat, this time to Waikato. Nieres was promising but lacked the finishing touch. Rowe worked hard but ultimately was fruitless. What I'd give for Sale, Maemae and Totori back in the YHM side. Gustavo looked alright when he came on though. Would like to see him and Nieres given a shot together up front. Luck wasn't on our side however with a couple of goal line clearances and some incredible saves from Dan Robinson.

What about the Waikato camp? Any comments or views on who did well (bearing in mind they had six players out).

I don't know many names. TBH I wasn't very observant today. Dan Robinson was pretty good in goal though. Your scorer took his shot very well.

For the Waikato goal Sam Wilkinson broke forward, fed Luke Findley, who crossed. Steve Holloway drew two defenders in the box, then back-heeled the ball for Mike gwyther, who smacked home.
