No Tuiloma?

Hudson specifically mentioned that Themi has been playing as a DM recently so got me wondering if that was foreshadowing something.

1 pm kickoff time in Fiji = 2 pm in NZ I think?

Saturday 25th March

Should be live on Sky TV?

Fiji have a new coach (arrived in January) Frenchman Christophe Gamel, a former Paris Saint-Germain Women's Team assistant coach 2012-16. He was at PSG Ladies during the most successful period in their history when they were runner-up every season he was there to perennial champions Lyon and made the 2015 UEFA Women's Champions League Final. He has a UEFA Pro badge and has coached the Qatar national u-17 and u-19 teams 2009-10 and Al-Rayyan club side in Qatar, and the DVTK club in Hungary:

Fiji's French coach Christophe Gamel on the side's problems:

https://www.fijifootball.com.fj/fiji-prepares-for-...

Two key midfielders, Zibraaz Saheb and Malakai Tiwa are unavailable.

Several other FIJI players continue to be unavailable due to having two clubs playing in the OFC Champions League, Ba and Rewa. Ba have completed their games (thrashed 8-0 by Team Wellington in their last game March 4). But Rewa don't finish their Group D matches in Tahiti until March 17, a week before the All Whites game. Some Ba players are having trouble getting further time off work after the OFC champions League games.

The remaining players entered camp on the weekend.

Roy Krishna and the Rewa players won't join the Fijian training camp until March 20:

https://www.fijifootball.com.fj/roy-to-join-camp/

"Gamel said he has included some new faces in this camp after watching their performance in the league games.

Suva goalkeeper Emori Raqata, defender Tomasi Uculoa and young striker Sairusi Nalaubu have been incuded in the extended squad.

Rewa players expected to join the camp are Peniame Drova, Amani Makoe, Epeli Saukuru, Joseteki Taumudu and Simione Tamanisau."

Seems Fiji are calling up two NZ-based players, James Hoyt and Rinal Prasad:

I am expecting us to really dominate the NZ leg. With our big names here I am hoping for a decent crowd and performance to match.

Evening less than a 3 goal buffer in my mind will be disappointing.

For the Wellington game, where's the best place to get tickets for White Noise? Also, if we have a large group planning on being in there, do we all have to purchase tickets together or do you just rock up to the zone and stand wherever?

Ticketek - select the white noise section - tickets just have Aisle number 22 on it, no seat numbers so just rock up

Got my tickets as soon as they came out.

With the AWs hardly ever playing in Wellington, I'd be disappointed if at least 6-8k don't show up for it.

Tuesday night and people don't seem to like the $31 price for the tickets when its "Fiji" from what I see on social media makes me think we will be looking at a 6k crowd.

Especially if we hammer them over there (unlikely)

How many NZ clubs first team and reserves train on a Tuesday night? I don't think this will be an issue in terms of attendance, but I miss going to the All Whites game cause of training which sucks.

I know they can't play all the games in Auckland, but if Fiji on a Tuesday night was at Mt Smart, you'd clear 10K crowd in Fijians alone...

Any football coach that makes his players attend training when an All Whites game is on is mad. Make it a team bonding trip. Football players are the No 1 target audience here surely.

the full Fijian side hasn't played the All Whites in Auckland since 1997, and the ex-pat population here has grown a lot since then - even at that price they'd rock a good sized crowd... (not that I agree with that pricing...)

It's the Tuesday after the first game of the season (well for NRFL), that's a pretty crucial training if you ask most coaches.

A more sensible approach may be to move training to another night if possible.

I believe the Westpac gates now show different colours when scanning adult and children tickets so the people at the gate can see what type of ticket you have when scanned.

Why are people turning their nose up at the cost of the tickets?  That's £15 or three beers in London.

I spent more than that on Tuesday night to watch Plymouth Argyle draw with Wycombe at Wycombe (£22/$45).  Two sides I expect the AWs to walk away with a relatively easy win.  Seems like people looking for a poor excuse to not go.

sorry but that's dumb attitude - for some people who play NRFL it's their premier league - just like us as fans of the Nix treat them like our premier league side.

No-one is trying to say the quality of NRFL is anywhere near premier league but to just half ass something because it's not the VERY VERY TOP elite level is pretty cup half empty.

I'm not saying teams should def train or teams should def go to the game instead - I am just saying I could see why a coach and his players for that matter might choose to train instead.
