Don’t worry, the Roos will loose to the Poms ;-)

Also the UK is quickly heading towards a full shutdown again. Football could be dead and buried in the UK before this game is played.

How long before professional clubs in England start to fold? I'm not sure I see some of the smaller clubs lasting for more than a year in this current climate.

I don't think so. I am working on the assumption that the "lower" clubs have less overheads, whereas the Top clubs with all their top paid players and facilities could be in more trouble than they want to see. I do note too that Non League teams are getting decent Crowds at their games as fans are getting fed up with the big clubs and their attitude towards fans. Stockport County have got a decent following again and a mate of mine is an ST holder at South Shields. he sent me a clip of their crowd that for such a lower League, looked quite good.

Like the Nix, probably more so, they are desperate for gate revenue.

Most teams from the bottom half of the Championship down are not owned by rich benefactors and don't get much TV money. So no fans = no club.

Not looking good unless the Premiership allows some of its riches to filter down.

Aussie has missed out on both it's proposed friendlies, time for NZF to propose an A-League Socceroos vs Aus/NZ All Whites match? Nix will probably be in Aussie by then, so would be easy enough to organise.

Idea certainly has merit. AWs first OFC qualifiers in March 2021 (if they happen) will almost certainly be an A League/Handy Prem AWs team.

Looks like Socceroos will play Kuwait & Nepal next March, and possibly be an A League Socceroos. So trying to play a NZ V Aus warm up type game somehow pre that March window, not silliest idea.

However I do remember someone running through a likely AWs A League squad, and it was a bit light in certain positions (like CBs). Would need a few guys from Handy Prem to fleece it out. Less I guess for just one game. And who knows Nix maybe about to sign a few extra Handy Prem dudes.

Yeah CB's would be a problem but it is the only way we will get an All Whites game in the near future.

Aussie based AWs: Jai Ingham, Andrew Durante, Mathew Ridenton & Jeremy Brockie
Aussie based u23s: Gianni Stensness, Aidan Munford, Emlyn Wellsmore, Oliver Duncan
Aussie based u20s: Keegan Jelacic

Nix AWs: Stefan Marinovic, Tim Payne, Alex Rufer, Louis Fenton
Nix u20s: Ben Waine
Nix: Oli Sail, Sam Sutton

NZ based AWs: Te Atawhai Hudson-Wihongi, Clayton Lewis, James McGarry, Logan Rogerson, Justin Gulley, Adam Mitchell, Tom Doyle, Cameron Howieson
NZ based u23s: Jack-Henry Sinclair, Trevor Zwetsloot

Probably Unavailable - ACL: Max Crocombe, Marco Rojas, Storm Roux, Dane Ingham, Kosta Barbarouses

Good summary of who would be available. Henry Cameron still at TW? Another ex AW.

But if ACL made likes of Rojas, Kosta & Roux unavailable, becomes a really questionable fixture from an AWs perspective, and would no doubt rule out a number of A League Socceroos for Arnie as well.

Come Feb/March next year, why not squeeze 3 A League rounds into 2 weeks (same with Handy Prem), with a round of mid week fixtures, to create a longer March international window, and play a AWs v Socceroos game just before each country's OFC & AFC March 2021 qualifiers.

Seems a more logical possible date slot, without ACL games, without interfering with A League club build ups towards Dec 27th, and may just be a chance that come Feb/March next year domestic Kiwis (eg Handy Prem players) can travel to certain Australian states and return to NZ without having to go into 2 weeks MI.

So in many ways trying to squeeze in a NZ v Aus fixture Feb/March next year makes more sense.

Not in NZ atm according to @NZPhotomac.

ACL games start on the 19th November, so could always play at the very start of the window to get access to those players or even before the window (if FIFA allows that) cuz none of the players have club commitments atm.

I'm sure everyone just wants to see some sort of AWs team play. Doubly better if against the big brother, even if watered down A League selections.

However another obstacle is the AWs coaching staff (except Rory Falloon?) are mostly based in NZ. Big ask for them to go to Oz for what, is likely 3-4 days max contact time with the players, plus 1 game - then return to NZ for 2 weeks hotel MI.

Largish sacrifice for seemingly not great reward, esp given some of the players they would be working with, may hardly be used again beyond the March 2021 window - post which the AWs should be getting closer to full strength with each new window.

Of course there is an ex NZF coaching employee now at Melbourne City. Maybe he could fill Hay's shoes for a one off game in Oz!

Looks like the Socceroo's have abandon there Euro games going by FTBL (fourfourtwo). I really hope NZF and the FFA can work something out to have a friendly in NZ or Aus (Queensland).

Argyle cut Rory free ages ago, more chance of seeing him doing laps of a football ground in his ice-cream truck then doing laps with the players inside.

While a Rory fan, I'm not sure the AWs need a motivator who can't coach.

While the bridge is well and truly burnt Des would have been the ideal choice to replace him as he is a good coach and clearly a great motivator.
